Dear sir, just explain one thing that the vat tax would be on total sales value or fba and refferel fees, or total profit made by sales on amazon? How can i calculate my vat tax as a across border seller. Thanks

Thank you for this info. I am new to Etsy. I am NOT VAT-registered but still Esty charged me VAT on selling price. I already paid VAT to the POD company for: 1) the product and 2) I also paid VAT on the shipping price. Etsy shouldn't have charged me VAT on seller price. Right? Please could you advise? Thanks

Thank you so much for your feedback; I really appreciate your perspective. I’ve had a lot of requests to provide product ideas, so I’m trying to offer some inspiration for aspiring sellers. I want to clarify that my intention is never to present this as a get-rich-quick scheme because it truly isn’t. I’m just aiming to show what’s doing well out there and give people a bit of food for thought 🙂 You’re right about the affiliate links. I’ll make sure to specify that more clearly going forward. But I do only affiliate myself with products I actually use and trust. Thanks again!

Thanks for sharing your experience! I understand how frustrating it can be when sales don’t come through as expected. Without knowing anything about your shop and situation (sorry 😁), some things to focus time and energy are: 1. SEO 2. Having amazing product photos 3. Making sure your products are truly unique and provide added value over competitors. Make sure buyers have a reason to buy your product over someone else’s. Wishing you lots of success going forward!

Hi Daniel, great idea. Just one question though. I have seen some Etsy sellers got hampered by late delivery of POD products. How do you deal with that?
@EtsyDaniel
@EtsyDaniel 18 күн бұрын
Thanks Felix! Good question. I personally haven’t had any major delivery time issues when it comes to POD suppliers, but it varies from provider to provider. I would suggest looking at fulfilment times of providers in Printify. I’d also suggest adding a bit of a buffer to your fulfilment timelines in Etsy, so that customers aren’t left disappointed if it takes a while. Hope this helps a bit 😊

Hello 👋 I'm new to POD. I was learning Amazon Sellers and learned that Printify does not connect....well as in it doesnt automatically design and ship the product. You have to take many steps as in labels and SKU etc. Is Printful the same? Or when a customer purchases something on Amazon and printful is connected when they purchase does Printful design and ship the product out? Great Video! Thanks!

This is one of the best videos I found regarding VAT for Etsy sellers in the UK, and trust me I've been doing some digging! What I don't understand is, if I pay VAT on my material and shipping costs (through printify) becasue I'm not VAT registered, will I also need to pay income tax on those same sales if I earn over £12,570 profit in the tax year (from both my day job and my Etsy store)? Thans! Looking forward to the VAT for POD video.

I had a couple of free trials of printify premium before they stopped allowing me to use codes to get a month free. I would suggest people don't use the codes when starting up to be honest. Because most people aren't going to be selling a huge amount when they start off anyway, and it's a waste. I'm still not selling enough for printify premium to be worth it. So I won't be purchasing it for no reason :)

Hi Daniel! I'm enjoying a lot of your videos, I already have an idea of my business and I'm going to start first with digital products and then, depending on sales, I'll move on to print on demand. My question is how do I analyze which country is the best for what I'm going to sell, I'm Portuguese but I live in the UK. Can I select the country where I will sell, and is there any benefit to being a seller here or in Portugal?

I wasn't about branding for probably 18 months. As close as I came for a long time was using a heart that people recognized of mine. Then I decided I wanted to change up my KZbin channel and change my icon, so I went through and created an entire branding kit using Canva. Now I have the fonts I like in there, the color palette, my little logo that I designed, and the background piece that I use for everything. And I'm learning how to incorporate it into my shop. I won't say sales have improved... Yet, but when I do markets in person, I get a lot of compliments on the cohesive nature of my tags and business cards all looking nice together. So while it's a work in progress, it's coming together nicely. And people are recognizing me on Etsy after finding me on KZbin.

Daniel, I completely get what you're saying about having strong branding, but when looking at a listing on Etsy it is almost impossible to get to the shop. I only found a link by selecting a listing and then scrolling almost to the bottom of the page where you can find a "Meet Your Seller" link and even then it's not easy to see the shop (although you can follow the shop which really goes to your point on branding. Do you have any advice for making a shop more prominent in listings?
@EtsyDaniel
@EtsyDaniel Ай бұрын
Thanks for your comment! I understand where you’re coming from. In addition to scrolling to the bottom of a listing, a clickable shop link also appears right at the top. Something I personally also do is add a photo card to each listing that acts as a call-to-action for the viewer to visit my shop. I include my shop name, some images of related or popular items in my shop, as well something like “check out my store to see more like this”. I then also include a call-to-action in the listing descriptions, along with a hyperlink to my storefront or to specific sections. I know it’s not a perfect solution, but I’ve found that it does help drive more shop traffic by encouraging shoppers to check out my store. Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions 😊

@@EtsyDaniel That's a really great idea to put your shop name and more products in an image (can it also be a link?). That sort of thing relly drives home your message about branding .... it's a no-brainer that someone who likes a listing will always love your shop if it has similar things!!! I appreciate your thoughts.
@EtsyDaniel
@EtsyDaniel Ай бұрын
I’m glad you agree 😊 You sadly cannot add a clickable link to listing photos. You could however add a sentence like “link in description”. Again, a bit of a workaround, but could work!

Thanks for the video, very informative! +1 for an explanation on VAT when working with a POD company. I am working with Gelato. My question is, if I register for VAT, does it mean Gelato won't charge me VAT anymore? Or they would still charge me, but I can claim it back from the HMRC?

I use both as well. I like Printful's all over print selection over Prinful. I also like the way Printful allows me to brand my items and mockup my items. However, like you, I really like Printify better. I like their support, princing and their sellection. Also, that quick shipping feature really does it for me. I like Printful but I like Printify a little bit more as well.
