Not mentioned in this video: Some firms don't even execute their funded traders' orders in a real market. But wholly uses challenge/subscription fees to pay out their traders' "profit" split.

Yes, some do that. I did mention in the video most prop firms (not all) are made up of 2 companies, one to collect the fees and another that actually places the trades. We call the first one the prop firm since they are the ones collecting the data. The Prop firm can do anything they'd like with that data, of course for longevity sake, you'd hope they apply at least some of the data from traders demos to live funds so the firm doesn't go under in the event of a live payout or not pay out large winner all together.

Some of the prop firms that you mentioned are now closed. I'm really grateful that I made the right choice, Audacity Capital. Before I starting up with them I'm little bit skeptical because of the price compare to the newly prop firms. But the price is justifiable for the service provided by those traders and also the peace of mind that at the end of the day, you'll know that this firm is not going to close unlike what other prop firms happening right now like MFF, and The Funded Trader.

Blake, I had high expectations about The Funded Trader, your own prop firm. When you launched it, as you know the pain of traders and you want to be transparent, I was excited and jumped on it. But you disappointed us by changing the EA rule recently saying that trader cannot use any EAs unless it is programmed or owned by him. Don't you think this is a ridiculous rule? Please be honest. Many traders are using EAs only or combination of EA+ Manual strategies. How many traders can program their own EAs? Even if someone can program, it is not fair to ask their source code as proof to verify. How the trader know you will not steal his intellectual property!. So request you to look into the matter and remove the EA rule and make it more trader friendly like FTMO and MFF.. Otherwise The Funded Trader will not be in the preferred prop firm list soon.. Hope you being very transparent as you claim, you will not delete this comment and give us a reply!

We do allow EAs that help with position sizing / risk and all indicators, what other hybrid EA types are you referring to that aren't allowed? We just don't want 10+ people using the same EA and have all of our risk in one hive mind trading style, that's more for my NEXT fund ;) you'll probably hear more about that soon!

@@TradeConnectVVS Thank you for replying Blake. Position sizing and Risk calculator EAs are just manual traders tools and not fully automated EAs which can open trades automatically and work 25X7. I am referring to fully automated EAs available at mql market and online sites. As these EAs have different input settings, it is not necessary that every trader gets exact same results. Even If it is same results by multiple traders, if end of the day if it is making money within the drawdown constraints, then why not allow it? Hence I am not fully convinced with your answer.

@@vinodkumarkg It's increased risk exposure that we don't want to have right now. We have more than enough money to back all successful traders with the current settings / rules. We are in talks with investors to determine if we bring on more of them they will allow EAs again with an increase in capital. I don't think normal EAs will be gone for too long!

I asked if the EA I use, which is a trade manager/risk management EA that I didn’t create, is allowed. I’m the one who clicks that Buy and Sell button. The EA then manages the trade for me based on my settings (e.g. when to move SL to BE, whether or not to take partial profits, what percentage, trail SL, etc). And this was their response: “Hello, You can´t use EA if you are not the owner. We don´t do exeptions.” Supports response and your comment in this thread seem to contradict. What is the correct answer for my case?

Question: Do you think FTMO new swing trading 1:30 leverage would be a problem for myself who only places maybe 2-3 trades a week MAX risking 1% per trade? Not super familiar with leverage

It only matters if the trade size is too large for the balance you have. Realistically it depends on your stop loss distance to the risk. As 1% at 10 pips distance so lets say 1k risk at 10 pips. That means you would have a 10 lot trade size to achieve that. So you need a leverage that allows you to open that size trade. 1:30 means $1 =$30 buying power. Leverage usually only matters if you want to risk 1% or so at small stoploss distances like 10 pips or under. Hope that helps.

There's usually 2 separate companies, one that collects data, fees and hosts traders on demo accounts and another company that is the fund that actually places the trades. Not all Prop firms separate these roles but most do.
