Been wanting full metal pew pew for a while. Got my eyes on CZ 75 sp 01 40 s&w. Should I get the 9mm version or stick to 40 s&w?

The CZ75 sp01 40s&w would handle the recoil but currently 40cal is hard to find. Unless you have a 40cal and can reload, I would choose the 9mm. My only 40cal is a CZ40B. I used to have 4 other 40cal but now have 45acp as my second most popular caliber. Have you considered the CZ97 in 45acp? Last, I did some videos on CZ75 Pre-B Transitional which is exactly the same as a CZ 85combat without the ambitious controls. I might not have connected the dots but P01 has a firing pin block but Pre-B means before block. All the CZ Shadows are without a FPB. CGW can make a better trigger than a factory Shadow2. But once you put CGW parts on a pistol without a FPB it will be head and shoulders above a P01. The CZ75 Pre-B is a poor man's Shadow.

Any steel frame SAR is a sweet pistol. The K12 Sport, P8S and two K2 45 I have are great. The SAR 2000 is on my list.

I should of bought the P8s. Ported barrel and I would like to get the K2 also.
