I bought the P8L a week ago for 399.00 locally while I was looking for a new carry 9mm. I cannot say a bad thing about this gun yet. I put 350 rounds through it without a single issue. To say I love this gun already would be an understatement.

Nice! I wanted to try out the P8L, I bet that's an incredible shooter with the longer barrel. I've got just over 200 through this plus some carry ammo. When the ammo situation improves, I'm going to get some more through it.

do you have the 17 round capacity? if so, do the witness holes go up to 17 or do they stop at 15? asking because, maybe my spring is just really fresh still, but I'm denting casings loading it up to 17

@@samo8730 both of mine only show 15. When I bought the gun I raised hell as ot was supposed to have a 15 and a 17. I got so loud the shop owner called Sar and they confirmed all of their mags for these were 17. They use the 15 case and the 17 spring but all were 17 going forward accept where prohibited. Shop owner then proceeded to load 17 in both for me to visually see they didn't swap out my 17. Luckysnipe sells replacements as well.

@@TheIndyhollow that's really helpful I do appreciate the response, I think I just need to break the springs in a bit more then, as I mentioned, they would fit, but #16 and #17 felt dicey. especially with those cheaper aluminum casings I had from like 4 years ago lol

My experience with cuts on the frame and ported barrels are debris getting into the weapon. I see no issue if used as an range gun or competition gun. As a EDC, I'd pass due to the open place to collect STUFF. I am thinking about the Sar ST in .45 ACP, 2000 9mm and Sar K2 .45 ACP. These appear to be equal to Canik and other CZ clones from Turkey. Great prices and quality is good. I own a couple Canik and they are solid pistols..

Canik is one of the best do it all guns ever. I have 2 of them. Tp9DAZ and the tp9 elite sc.

With that front dovetail and the set screw, someone would need to make a dedicated front sight for it. And I just don't think there are enough of them in the wild for that to happen anytime soon.

How does this shoot compared to the sar 9x? Is it a sweeter shooter or is the sar 9 a better shooter? I know there is a bit of weight difference.

I honestly haven’t been out there with both of them at the same time so it’s tough to compare them apples to apples. They are both very nice shooters though. The Sar9x has been fantastic and I LOVE the grip on it. The P8S is also very nice and the ported barrel and slide really seem to reduce the recoil.

Word of Warning!: I bought a P8 L and the front sight came off before I had 50 rounds through it. Called them about the warranty, and they told me it's a known issue that they don't yet have a fix for. So they have me waiting until further notice

Why is your single action pole 2 pounds and 12 ounces when mine is 5 pounds? Did you check it with one of those digital trigger pull gauges? Because I find those to be less accurate than the spring trigger pull gauges.

I used the Lyman digital scale. It’s been far more accurate than a spring gauge. You’re honestly the first person I’ve ever heard say the spring gauge is more accurate.

If you shoot very many guns you can tell that's not 2 lb a 2 lb trigger is nothing you can barely touch it without it going off so I'm pretty sure that it's 5 lb

OK, I’ll take your word for the trigger I’ve actually had my hands on. It’s totally 5 pounds and the Wheeler spring scale is the most accurate thing in the world.

C4 Defense well I have the exact same gun that he has it’s from the factory and the reason I’m so familiar with trigger pulse is because I used to work in a gun smithing shop. After a while you get pretty good at telling the feel plus if I have the same exact gun from the factory as he does and mine measures at 5 pounds and it feels like 5 pounds then chances are it is 5 pounds. You can call names if you want to but makes you feel better but I’m just sharing my experience. I really don’t care. Just trying to share some information not looking to get into some kind of a battle of the gun brains. I like his video I was just making a comment

It is funny. I was looking at some of my Independance 9mm JHP ammo today and it says on the box not to use it in a gun with a ported barrel. I guess they are afraid I will get lead poisoning?

I bought this in all black about a month ago. After about 50 rounds, the front sight came off. :( I found it, glued it back on. Went over the week to shoot again.. after 10 rounds, it came off again.. couldn't find it. LOVE the gun.. how it shoots, feels and accuracy... just VERY disappointed about the sight. Going to call the company tomorrow to find out what to do. GREAT gun other than that.

Got the same problem with mine. Front sight pin almost came completely out! Seems like it needs a bigger pin to hold it. Wondered if anyone found out how to fix it? Other than that absolutely love this gun!
