What Is A Starter House?

What is a minecraft starter house? todays video I want to start the conversation on what would you consider a good starter? is it the first thing you build, how big should it be?

I'm amused to see that someone else uses the term "Hermitcraft Starter House". LOL Edit 'cause I hit post too soon: A starter house like that last one is only reasonable on something like Empires or Hermitcraft, where you've got to have something that'll impress viewers used to megabuilds. Tango Tek's latest "starter" base is a good example. Like holy heck, Tango, that's larger and more intricate than a lot of folks' actual bases, dude! My own usual progression is usually more like hole in the wall -> starter shack I can live in while gathering more materials -> actual house I intend to live in for the duration.

I like to do interiors and gardens, because I'm better at it, so my starters tend to either be in between the small starter and the Hermitcraft sized one, just not as nicely shaped lol, or a refurbished villager house.

I think gardens are overlooked and under appreciated in minecraft. the environment around the build really can take it from a 8/10 to a 11/10

My current world is a #2 that i built in the first couple days, and have upgraded with as I progress. Now I have five auto farms (trying to limit those until i get to the mega base) and a basement built into my old mineshaft to hold extra chests.
