Hello Lance: Thank you for your information, my case is in California but I was hoping you could still give me your opinion. I am the defendant in a civil case, my brother and me had a fight, his lip got busted, he is suing me for $500.000, he lives out of state. My case has been continued by the prosicution three times over the past four years. Does that seem strange to you. What the heck does speedy trial mean?

If someone enters an SOC for a simple assault dv case and their case is dismissed, does this prohibit them from joining the military?
