Sad America, I remember as a child the local cop bought me ice cream.. nowadays, even children fear them automatically. Keep fighting for your clients. You do seem to be invested and an amazing advocate and litigator. Your clients must truly be lucky.

It baffles me how the police can legally lie to you but its a crine to lie with the cops.

I almost made the mistake when I was calling sheriff to ask why they visited. He was trying to lead me "you know what I'm talking." And I would counter with "I'm not trying to be difficult, but I don't know what they could have come up with so I'd prefer to talk once I have an attorney." They do a good job of trying to sound like your buddy

Don't EVER talk to the police. I saw a video of a traffic stop. During the stop, the cop asked the driver, "What kind of dog is that?" The driver told him. In that case, it seemed to mean nothing. Suppose the cop was looking for a suspect with that kind of dog? The driver, no matter how innocent, has just made a problem for himself.

I've seen two situation where the person was the victim of crime, but the cops began investigating them. In one case, the cops asked to see her cell phone, they took it and she never got it back.

I like these videos, you are doing a service for many people. You did a video about how criminal justice works vs how we wish it would work. That should be required viewing for anyone catching a case for the first time. By the second time you already know the system isn't meant to set people free...

I only talk to the police if they're working on my behalf now if they are looking into me I have the right to remain silent and I will tell them they can speak to Lance fryer.

In this day and age, cops are generally required to have a body cam with audio. If there is no body cam to back up what you said to him/her, the cop has no credibility.

This happened many years ago, but I was unexpectedly in a situation where a cop was fishing for probable cause to arrest me for something I did not do. First they searched around my house to see if I had any drugs or guns ( I had let them in without a warrant because I knew that they were planning to bash down my door). Then the cop proceeded to question me in a mentally cruel and threatening manner, while a fellow cop held up a baton on me, ready to strike if I dared to move from my frozen position. I knew they were aiming to arrest me, so I carefully answered his questions in a roundabout way--round and round in circles did I take that poor cop. Finally he called a person of excellent repute and status in our community, because that person knew me and my family quite well, and was deemed trustworthy by the LEOs and our family court system. After this person vouched for me, the cop softened his tone to quickly wish me a good night. Then all the LEOs left. Had I answered that cop's questions directly the way he wanted me to, I'm sure I would have spent that night in jail.

I don't understand how it's OK for them to be able to lie to obtain information or evidence and they don't gotta be straightforward yet the citizen who's suppose to be innocent til proven guilty ... yet theyre the onrs invllved in or about a crime can't lie and everything said or done is held over you even against you and they can Miss say questions to entrap you into saying a response that's just slightly worded incorrectly ... completely ridiculous

If an Individual from many states away had a class e felony warrant out for them, and this individual went to South Carolina and got stopped by police would they be arrested and extradited back to the state they have the warrant in? It says online that South Carolina is one of the states in the United States that does not extradite individuals under the Uniform Criminal Extradition Act can you clarify this for me? Thanks

Every parent should teach this stuff to children, at a minimum encourage the school board to teach this stuff in civics class.

I really like your video's. Please reduce the volume of the intro sounds, as they are unbearable loud when listening with headphones. I live in Belgium, Europe. In my country a suspect lying to the police does not commit a crime. However, lying as a witness is a crime, because it is qualified as "obstruction of justice".
