This was great Gregor, I'm new to Studio One and I find your walk-throughs and explanations to be deep enough to be very helpful, but easy to understand even for a new guy. Thank you very much for the work you do.

Thank you Gregor. It's so often that beginners (which we all were) are left out in the cold. It's so refreshing to see someone take the time to actually explain the basics. As you hoped, although I am fairly familiar with most of these basics, I too picked up a couple of new tricks. Oh... and thank you for NOT using that ear-piercing intro music you used to use as an intro. I turned down the volume level before I started playing the video... but it turned out not to be necessary. Please don't bring back that headache producing intro. 😅🤣😂

Gregor is brilliant. I still enjoy and support his channel even though I migrated to Pro Tools because S1 has no video track. That's the one professional track that's missing in S1.

Hello Gregor. your tutorials are always the best. can you please do one on track colors? I'd like to be able to color my synth tracks a diffrent shade of blue ( I mean a gradient of blue or any other color) and percussion as mutiple shades of green etc but I find the studio one colors a bit strange, the way they are arranged seems unlogical to me. can you shed some light on the matter? cheers

Hi Gregor, I really get a lot out of your videos, thanks! I have a question about folder tracks. If you put a multitrack drum kit or string section into a folder track, can you then use that folder as a track template? If so, I can imagine grouping commonly used groups of instruments in folder tracks, then picking which ones I want on a particular song. Rather than ask, I’ll just try it. Thanks for the self therapy!

Hey Gregor, how come when I put an 808 bass inside Sample One it sounds flat? If I take the same sample and put it in Ableton, its punchy and has a lot more detail. Does Sample One compress audio quality or something?
@OrdinaryOneOfficial
@OrdinaryOneOfficial 2 жыл бұрын
Bounce it in Ableton, then in Studio One (Make sure the aplitude of both are exactly the same - so use a 3rd party VU meter or something that will work in both Ableton and S1 to rule out different measurements) Put both in one of the daws and inspect the vaveform. See if they NULL if you invert the phase in one of them. I'd suspect it's mostly an amplitude difference.

I've also noticed my EDM kicks loaded in 'Impact' sound slightly blunted, but when I load it to an audio track (as repetitive audio clips) it sound punchy & original. I null-tested the two & there was a transient different, although both were set at same volume, no fades & zero attack in impact. I wonder how to fix this :(
@MrDannyLaRusso
@MrDannyLaRusso 2 жыл бұрын
@@OrdinaryOneOfficial it's not amplitude, it's the structure of the sound. It's not studio one doing it, it's the studio one sampler known as sample one that's making the 808s sound flat
@MrDannyLaRusso
@MrDannyLaRusso 2 жыл бұрын
@@dulmin_perera_3 yeah studio one needs to fix this asap if they want to compete with FL studio or Ableton. The ease of use of studio one is better than any other daw out there. But the sound quality and bugs need a complete overhaul.
@MrDannyLaRusso
@MrDannyLaRusso 2 жыл бұрын
@@dulmin_perera_3 only way to fix it would be to buy a 3rd party sampler plugin I guess

You smartly avoid adding an HARDWARE synth on a track instrument to S1 !!! which is a big fat pain in the ... !!! working 100% on logic pro without doing anything but on S1 it's just awfull!!
@Beastmode-hk3fj
@Beastmode-hk3fj 2 жыл бұрын
Huh? It's easy as hell, just set up the audio ins/outs in the setup menu accordingly (only needed to be done once, as with most DAWs) and then you can select your hardware as the source from the track dropdown in your project.
@chriselden1352
@chriselden1352 2 жыл бұрын
@@Beastmode-hk3fj yes you have to set up your hardware which is not simple you can choose wrong options. In logic pro you don't set up anything you just directly use it! (for a cobalt 8x)
