What is a weed? A plant ecologist’s view

I use a plant id app. If it's native I let it stay, if it's invasive I pull it. After 5 years I have some beautiful natives that are swarming with native bees, butterflies. ladybugs and other insects and I didn't have to plant anything.

My favorite definition: If you want it to grow but it doesn't, it's a plant. If you don't want it to grow but it does, it's a weed.
