Thank you Dr. Cliff for explaining an ABI correctly. I have caught doctors on youtube explaining ABIs and Cochlear Implants very, very wrong. I am a Cochlear Implant user. I expect when a doctor decides to talk about a medical issue, that they do their research. I suppose I am wrong on that. On youtube you can say anything you want. Until someone catches you giving bad info.

Interesting topic. Just started reading Matt Hay’s book and have his biography also to read. I have also downloaded the Spotify playlist related to the book to see what music influenced his life . I can’t imagine how I would fare if i needed an auditory brain stem implant as i currently have struggles with my hearing loss that is easily corrected by hearing aids.

Dr Cliff I have single sided deafness. Right now my audiologist has me in hearing aids for both sides. As I had loss in both ears prior to the SSD. My audiologist is trying to help with the ringing my bad ear. She said I would not qualify for a C implant bc I have correctable hearing in my left ear. Is this correct?
