If a company is privately held then how do you get the details of their business especially the financial statements...........do hostile LBOs happen in the private firms? Also, from where does one find out which private firm is interested in selling.......any public source? or the seller approaches the investment bank and they take it from there.

Why would a company go public to private, isn't it the PE firm that owns the company for the most part? And my second more important question, regarding the controversy surrounding it because they just look at the short term and by trying to maximize benefits they really make the company vulnerable in the long term, after the sell it, What would be your take on how to fix it?
@nileshmohapatra40134 жыл бұрын
I'm asking for a high school extracurricular where basically I have the jurisdiction of the senate to fix private equity some how, so really appreciate as detailed of an answer you can give

Hey Brian, I'm digging your videos. I'm trying to break into banking and I've been looking for a course like Wall Street Prep to help build my understanding of financial modeling. Do you have an affiliate code for them? Do they do that sort of thing? I wouldn't mind getting you paid because I'm thinking of signing up for it.

I live in Texas. *(Not on Wall St.)* lol , but would you say obtaining a CFA or CFP is better for the purpose of getting paid well and when I say well I mean 150k+. I currently have my SIE, S6, S63 & S7. I work in wealth management for Citigroup Global markets but just wanting to take that next step in my career. Any recommendations? I really love San Antonio, TX and don’t want to relocate. What would you recommend certification wise for my scenario and why? Please and thank you in advance hope to hear back! I know it was a side question on theme of LBO of this video but just wanted your thoughts 💭. Thanks a bunch and great video👍🏽 -Jacob

hey mate, i'd recommend doing the CFA program. i'm in equities at an asset manager / finished CFA program, so i reckon that rather than thinking about how much you'd make, i think you should figure out if PWM is what you want to do long-term (CFP would probably suffice), or move into institutional funds mgt (CFA would be a huge plus). That being said, $150k+ is a hedonic treadmill, and with higher marginal tax rates in that income bracket, you probably wouldn't find that to be enough money when you get there!
