Hi Sam, thanks for your comment. The group were trying to ask Lisa what she would be wearing to the dance. However, Lisa believed that they were asking her what she is wearing now. This is an example of processing a question literally, which some autistic people can do. The group who asked her the question became confused by this. Lisa did not do anything wrong in this situation, this is an example of how autistic people and non-autistic people can both experience a mismatch in communication and mutual understanding. How do people get tested for autism? My family tend to suggest every so often I'm on the spectrum and since learning more about it I'm starting to identify traits. I want to find out to understand better how my brain works but I also kind of don't want to know at the same time
