ABOUT THIS VIDEO:
What is baptism and why is it important? Should you be baptized as a Christian? What is baptism with the Holy Spirit? What is baptism with water? What is baptism by fire? How does baptism relate to our salvation and faith? We get many of these questions on a regular basis, so it is time to talk about the basic truth of baptism that so many people do not even know about. In this video, we take a look at what the bible says about baptism. Jesus commands us to make disciples of all nations and to baptize them. So we as believers should be baptized, but we should also know what it really means when we are baptized. What does it mean when we go under the water and come up again? Watch the full video to make sure you understand what scripture teaches us about baptism. My goal is not to argue with certain viewpoints, because our real fight is not with each other, but with the dark forces. The devil is good at distracting believers to fight each other instead of spreading the gospel to save lives...Let us not give any place to the devil and let us use our time fully for God's will.

I get baptized tomorrow at age 56. I was an atheist for my first 40 years, slowing finding my way to belief since then. Finally, I fully gave my life to Christ about 4 years ago. I am so excited to go public tomorrow in front of my new church!

I was Baptised *by the Holy Spirit the moment I read and BELIEVED the gospel of my salvation* like God showed me in His word. Ephesians 1:13; 2 Corinthians 5:18,19; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 NOT because I decided to get my hair wet. I read in my kjBible that on the cross, God was in Christ Jesus, not charging our sins against us, but placed all our sins on Jesus. Jesus was made THE PERFECT substitutionary sacrifice for sins to appease the soon wrath of God upon an unbelieving world. Jesus died for our sins according to scripture, was buried *with* our sins, and three days later arose *without* my sins. Getting my hair wet, walking the isle, kneeling at the alter, or rubbing the rosery had NOTHING to do with getting my sins forgiven. No amount of crying tears, holding on, getting my life right, or letting go forgave my own sins either. The moment I simply agreed with God that ALL my sins were forgiven on the cross, he was buried WITH my sins, and rose again three days later WITHOUT my sins, I was sealed with the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption. "And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption." - Ephesians 4:30 KJV TODAY is the day of *salvation.* All your sins were already forgiven at the cross. 2 Corinthians 5:18,19 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 Romans 16:25 Want to be saved and go to heaven? Its NOT about what you do in your flesh, its because of WHAT and WHO you BELIEVE. On the cross, God was in Christ no longer charging our sins against us. He reconciled himself to us. Now believe, and be ye reconciled back to God and be SAVED! Believe today, and heaven is your home. Ephesians 2:8,9 Says salvation is NOT of yourselves. Not of any fleshly works, but by simply believing that what Jesus has already accomplish for us, was enough. Hope this helps. Truth Time Radio channel on yt can help you understand how to study your kjBible. Grace and peace

Great ! Did the pastor or priest afterwards lay his hands on you to seal you with the Holy Spirit (Acts 19:1-7) ? The modern Evangelical view of Baptism is that it’s symbolic of a changed lifestyle. Please read Patristic and Scriptural evidence for the truth of the doctrine of baptismal regeneration to grasp how precious this is and thus you won't be prone to fall.

@@TedBruckner Souls, know it, we are no longer baptize by water, WE ARE BAPTIZED BY HOLY SPIRIT. Acts Chapter 10 44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. Acts 1:5 KJV For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. Acts 11:16 KJV Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost. Acts 2:38 - Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Galatians 3:27 - For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. Acts 22:16 - And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord. Mark 16:16 - He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. John 14:26 KJV But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. John 15:26 KJV But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: What sins babies committed that they need baptized? the reason, adults think, "baby baptized" saved them? BIBLE gives picture, that the worry of being baptized and right with GOD, is each adult`s worry. ADULTS SIN, NOT BABIES.

There is no need for water baptism today if you have believed and trust the gospel. That Jesus died, shedding His blood, was buried and rose, for the forgiveness of your sins. This is what saves us. I Cor 15:1-4. Jesus said through Paul: 1Cor 1:17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. The gospel that saves us today does not require water baptism at all, for any reason or by any method. There is only one baptism for us in the body of Christ today, and the Spirit is the one who does the baptizing , NOT a man. Eph 4:4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; Eph 4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, 1Cor 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. These articles will help understand baptism. Just because something is in the bible doesn't mean it was meant for us to do or live by. Animal sacrifices and raising people from the dead are in the bible, but we don't do them! graceambassadors.com/tradition/what-is-baptism graceambassadors.com/tradition/does-romans-6_3-4-teach-water-baptism graceambassadors.com/salvation/the-baptism-gospel Check out this 7 minute video, please. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mp3GYoKoq5ufe5Y

@@spiderjump - did you know that Heaven is a free gift from God? Billions of people go to bed every night wondering if they have been “good enough” to go to heaven. There is no need to live in fear and doubt. Jesus taught that you can “know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” There are many passages in the Bible that teach the truth about Heaven being a free gift from God because of what Jesus did for us on the cross, not by our own good works. One of the most clear and important passages is from the Apostle Paul’s letter to the Ephesians: Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” Most people think that Heaven is a riddle which can never be solved. This is not true! The Bible is very clear about how you get to Heaven, and how it comes by faith in Jesus Christ, not by trusting in our own good works. We are living in the dispensation of the grace of God, by believing and trusting the gospel of salvation (1 Corinthians 15:1-4) given to our Apostle Paul by Jesus Christ you are saved and sealed with the holy Spirit of promise till the day of redemption!!! Ephesians 1:13 - King James Version 13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Romans 2:16 - King James Version 16 In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel. I been baptized twice about 35 years ago when I was searching..First in a Baptist Church, then a friend of mine joined The international Churches of Christ,(ICOC), and was baptized there. I remained there for 6 years, but felt I was just going through the motions, and left God. Now for the past few years, I started living for Christ again..I pray, I've prayed to God to give me the strength to overcome a sin I've battled since I was 17, and I'm beating this sin and God gets the glory. I've even shared my faith, and handed out tracts....The only thing is, I don't have a Church home. My question is, would I have to be re-baptized again, or does my faith, and my previous Baptism 35 years ago fulfill God's command. Do you think I'm saved right now?🙏

We will always have a war in ourselves going on. The flesh wants to sin but out brain says we are spiritual. Even Paul said tht in Romans 7: 19-25 the evil he keeps on doing he doesn't want to do but yet he doesn't do the good he wants to do. After accepting Jesus it is a daily decision to trust and follow Jesus. It takes time to walk like Jesus. I believe thts what sanctification is....a process of becoming more and more like jesus.

the study of definitions - a ceremonial immersion in water as an initiatory RITE or sacrament of the christian church - a word to investigate is the word RITE. meaning a formal or ceremonial act or procedure prescribed or customary in religious or other solemn use. It is important to know that the word RITE has a strong connection to the word RITUAL. In fact the word RITUAL comes directly from the latin word RITUALIS - meaning relating to religious rites..Rites oare often to used to initiate someone into a group, organisation or society..RITES are popular among secretive societies, such as the jesuits and the freemasons.. The word that you may want to know its deeper meaning is the word "baptism" When you meticulously study the word baptism and study its definitions to see what other words are related to it you should eventualy come to the conclusion that EXTERNAL baptism is a magic ritual. When someone is baptised from the "outside" he is considered to have entered a "coven-ant" with the "lord"..As a noun the word covenant comes from the latin word "convenir" meaning come together, unite, be suitable, agree. Etymologically means ( to enter into an formal agreement or contract". The word "covenant" means also an agreement or contract between 2 or more persons to do or not to do something specified or a solemn agreement, between the members of the church to act together in harmony with precepts of the gospel. When the word COVENANT is split up into 2 words, it transforms into the word "coven" and the suffix "ant"....The word COVEN means ""an assembly of witches, especially a group of 13. So, the deeper meaning of the word "baptism" is ""An agreement (contract) with a "coven" controlled by witches or lords. Therefore when people are baptized, they have agreed to serve in the capacity of a coven or make an agreement with a coven, which is controlled by witches or lords. The question therefore people SHOULD be asking is "the one performing the baptism a member of a coven of the true LORD or is he a member of a coven of witches who worship false gods. The witches who have infiltrated many churches on this earth are the dark magicians. The magicians have masters that are known as demons.. Their demonic masters are the lords that people make contracts with when they agree to be baptized by the minions of the dark magicians. That is why it is very important to know who is really in charge of a church before agreeing to be baptized by a member of that church. The process of "external baptism" promises the body, mind and soul of a man/woman, or child to a coven of a church which can be controlled by a coven on the true LORD or a coven of witches who worship false gods. If you go to church, you may really want to think this before participating in baptism. TRUE BAPTISM OCCURS IN THE BODY, NOT OUTSIDE OF IT. Because of this, external baptism will NOT empower people to achieve ""spiritual freedom"". Churches that practice external baptism are misleading their members becuase external baptism cannot save their members from "original sin"..To rise above original sin requires a transformation "within" meaning that ....unless one is born of water and the spirit he cannot enter the kingdom of god. What the churches do not teach is that the TRUE CHURCH of god is man's body, whether male or female - the bible even says ""you are the temple of god""......

It is like getting married and starting a brand new life. Jesus said in Mark 16:15 that "he that believeth and is baptized shall be saved...." Baptism is for persons that are old enough to believe and know God for themselves. As you love God, you would make a commitment to Him, that you accept that He died in your place. He was buried and has risen and gone back to heaven to prepare a place for you. You decide to follow Him and obey His 10 commandments, including the 4th one "Remember to keep the Sabbath day holy" the 7th day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God (Saturday) according to the bible. Exodus 20:8-11

Catholics get sacramental grace through baptism. Catholics are given indelible mark of belonging to Christ through baptism. This is born again event for Catholics. Protestants' baptise to symbolise the death and resurrection with Christ. Nothing spiritual takes place with symbolic ritual. Protestants are born again by the declaration of accepting Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour. It does not need water baptism to make a person born again. Christ died for all but protestants won't give Jesus Christ to the children on the ground that they cannot reason yet. But how much an adult must know to qualify him for administering baptism? Where is it written in the Bible? Even when salvation is a free gift of God, protestants won't give it to children.

WATER BAPTISM IN HIS NAME Water baptism was administered in the NAME OF JESUS CHRIST; for this was the name given to our Savior before His birth for the purpose of “saving men from their sins” (St. Matt. 1:21); for there is salvation in “none other name” (Acts 4:12) whereby we must be saved. The Apostles always administered baptism in His NAME from the day of Pentecost forward. There is no biblical record of one person ever being baptized as believers are today apart from Acts 2:38. No one was ever baptized, using the formula “in the Name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

He also said that without this inward circumcision we aren’t God’s people (Rom 2:29). I hardly believe he didn’t think it was important. Peter baptized Gentiles (Acts 10:48). 2 questions... 1) Are you picking certain apostles to follow and ignoring the others? 2) What did Jesus mean by “born of water” (John 3:5)?

@@JivTurky1986 The same question I asked Christians if they only used the NT writings to justify their doctrines because their doctrines most definitely contradicts the prophets across the board and they mostly quote the New Testament writings not the OT. The Apostles always quoted the OT with their teachings. even the NT writings commands to follow the messianic prophecies according to the prophets to confirm everything in the NT. Luke 24:44 Christians are dismissing the same NT writings to confirm it with the OT messianic prophecies which they didn't quote according to the OT. That's a double standard and contradiction in itself. Christians try to justify their doctrines with interpretations that makes no sense with the Hebraic context. Just to illustrate my point, they don't know the difference between a Hebrew and an Israelite. NOW, to answer your 2 questions, because i don't like to ignore questions people ask me. A) to question #1 I followed the OT writings prophets as the main authority and I also follow the NT Apostles but i won't take anything that contradicts the prophets. That's the rule according to the MessiahLuke 24:44-47 see also Matthew 5:17,18 A) question # 2 What the Messiah meant in John 3: 5 you forgot to finish the sentence. He said "Water and the Spirit" not just water. The adjective (Water) which interchangeable and the Verb ( Spirit). The words of the messiah and the word of the prophets are "Spirit" . That means whoever believes the "truth" spoken by the prophets are born of the Spirit. They are transformed by the Spirit of God spoken by the Prophets and confirmed by his anointed one Yeshuah who the prophets predicted as the One to restoration. . Do you agree with that??? The question is ..what was the Gospel message spoken by the Prophets and the Messiah.Do they match? So, the Spirit is also considered "water" , symbolically speaking or metaphorically speaking depending on the context. Didn't the messiah say..whoever believes in Him ( his words) will never be THIRSTY? what is the metaphor? Didn't the Messiah say that the word of God is like LIVING WATERS??? John 3: 8 "The wind blows where it pleases, and you hear its sound, but you don’t know where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.” HERE IS THE ANSWER TO NICODEMUS REGARDING BEING BORN OF THE SPIRIT. The Spirit came upon many Jews as a wind or fire. They were born of the Spirit that way. The Messiah compared the Spirit as "wind" right? Genesis 7:22 "Everything with the breath of the spirit of life in its nostrils - everything on dry land died." The Messiah referred the Spirit as "Wind" because he knew that what gives life is the breath of life or "blow of life in the nostrils" but it is a divine blow of life. Exodus 31:3 “I have filled him with God's Spirit, with wisdom, understanding, and ability in every craft" The Messiah referred as the "Spirit" as understanding and wisdom to guide us to the father. John 15:26 “When the Counselor comes, the one I will send to you from the Father - the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father - he will testify about me." The Messiah as Water and the Spirit as "The spirit of Truth" which teaches us the path to godliness and Salvation as the spirit of truth gave understanding and wisdom to the prophets and israelites. The water symbolizes "purity" and cleansing. The water also symbolizes "life" in takes many forms. it's formless. Our body is mainly made of water. We were created with water and spirit. John 6:63 "The Spirit is the one who gives life. The flesh doesn't help at all. The WORDS ( teachings) that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life." Whosoever believes receives life or water with Spirit. They were not empty words they were teachings of truth according to the prophets.Luke 24:44 The Spirit will set us apart. In other words, since the metaphor of water is "transformation" water is formless but takes many forms "it flows" and so when we believe in the truth of the Gospel. the Spirit also sustains us to be alive as the bread of life. Manna. The Messiah was like the Manna from above. That's what Paul referred to as "circumcision of the heart" we believe with our heart and we worship with the Spirit and truth. John 4: 23 ,24 John 20:22 After saying this, he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. Messiah "BREATHED" on them. that's what he meant to be born again but with the life of the Spirit . See also anointing with the Spirit. Acts 2:17 ; Joel 2:28-30 ; Acts 2: 18-19; Luke 3:16 “And it will be in the last days, says God, that I will pour out my Spirit on all people; then your sons and your daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams." That's what the Messiah referred to be born of the Spirit as it was prophesied by the Prophets for the anointing of the children of the Israel. Watch my video below, it might help you to understand more what is meant to be born of the Spirit with a Hebraic perspective.I am a Sephardic Jew...i am sharing it to the world but i hope the lost sheep can hear it. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gYfZipJ3fLt3nbM

@Rejoran
@Rejoran 3 жыл бұрын
@@josiahlealem4518 why am I saying baptism as an act of obedience is not written anywhere in the Bible? Because baptism as an act of obedience is not written anywhere in the Bible. When you were taught by someone the idea of baptism as an act of obedience, did the ones who taught you this show you 'here it is in Book, chapter, verse, written in the Bible' OR did they just tell you "the concept is there" and show you Matthew 28:19 saying that it's a command and should be obeyed? 'Act of obedience' is redundant as All commands must be obeyed, but there's no command in the Bible that's said to be obeyed just for obedience sake. All commands in the NT have a purpose associated with them John 13:34-35. No one in the Bible went around saying act of obedience. In fact, no one before 1651 ever even mentioned the term. The origin of the teaching of baptism as merely an act of obedience is The Faith and Practise of Thirty Congregations Gathered According to the Primitive Pattern Published (in love) by consent of two from each Congregation, appointed for that purpose. London, Printed by J. M. for Will. Larnar, at the Blackmore neer Fleet-bridge, 1651. 49. That when Baptisme is made known, or any other Action of obedience, then for men to refuse it, they are said to reject the counsel of God against themselves; Luk. 7. 30. No one ever heard of this, in Bible days. It's important to distinguish between Bible "teachings" and Church "lingo" or terminology. The "term" of baptism as an act of obedience is not in the Bible, it's a "church" term. As such, it is only a certain belief system that employs this term. The "concept" of baptism as an act of obedience is not in the Bible either. It is said that once a person is saved, the first thing they should do is be baptized to show their obedience to God. There is no scripture in the Bible that says baptism comes after being "saved". It says baptism comes along with belief Mark 16:16 Galatians 3:25-27, it does not say after one is saved. And there is no instruction in the NT that an 'act of obedience' must be done right after being saved. You don't see in the Bible someone saying "now that you're saved, go do an act of obedience." Such a command does not exist, much less assigning baptism to a non-existent command. The rule of thumb in all matters, not just in baptism, is to follow commands written in the Bible, not commands where just "the concept is there". John 12:48-50 The influence of church culture is very powerful and can make it hard to tell the difference between what's Biblical and what's not. 'Written' scripture is a sure way to tell it's from God. Such as what this passage says about baptism Romans 6:5-7 For if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be in the likeness of His resurrection, [6] knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin; [7] for he who has died is freed from sin.

With all due respect, that is false. You are not saved UNTIL your baptized. Why? Because baptism is 'for the forgiveness of sins" (acts 2:38).
@nikeinjesus1
@nikeinjesus1 6 ай бұрын
@ShanondHalley, it is impossible to be saved before baptism. Listen to Jesus: "He that believes and is baptized will be saved" (Mk.16:16). "Baptism does also now save us" (1Pt 3:21). Baptism is for forgiveness of sins (Acts 2:38). Baptism washes away our sins (Acts 22:16). You are right in one of your statements, but do you know how the Spirit plays a role in leading us to be baptized? In order for one to be born again, it is by water (baptism) and of the Spirit (Jn.3:5). To be born of the Spirit is not a Holy Spirit Baptism, nor is it receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit. Peter explains how one is born of water and Spirit in (1Pt.1:22-23). "Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently: Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which lives and abides for ever." Peter is writing to the saints, those who have already been baptized. Notice he says, "ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit." What did they OBEY to purify their souls? They obeyed the command to be baptized for forgiveness of sins "through the Spirit." Peter further explains, "being born again by the incorruptible Word of God." The Holy Spirit speaks to our hearts "through the Word of God" the truth. When one obeys the truth, our souls are purified/forgiven. Just as when Jesus was speaking the truth to Nicodemus, the Holy Spirit was working through the Word of God. Nicodemus had no intentions of being baptized under John's baptism, as he had "rejected the counsel of God not being baptized of John." Jesus knew this, so he warned Nicodemus if he was not born again of water (baptism), and of the Spirit (through the Word of God) he could not enter into the kingdom (Jn.3:5). Jesus promised those who submitted to John's baptism would go into the kingdom (Mt.21:31). If Nicodemus heeded Jesus' warning and was baptized that night or the following day, he was born again. A person is saved when they are born again, when they are baptized for forgiveness of sins. If you are baptized, but not for forgiveness of sins, then you are not led by the truth, therefore you are not born again.

  You’re wrong. Romans 10:9-10. Jesus Christ died for our sins so that we may inherit salvation. To say you must be baptized otherwise you’re not saved it to say that Jesus Christ dying on the cross was not enough to save you. Jesus commands to be born again in spirit and water. In other words to be born again. You cannot literally be born again. When you give your life to Jesus Christ you are changed and repent your ways. The holy spirit dwells in you and teaches you. To say Jesus Christ dying wasn’t enough and you must now also be baptized is to say god was not enough and you need to work your way to salvation. I’m a born again believer 100 percent the Holy Spirit dwells in me and I’ve never been baptized. You’re not saved by works rather by the grace of God. Baptism is an important milestone to your walk in the Lord but not a salvational issue. In Genesis, the Holy Spirit is said to be the face of the waters. When you give your life to God, you’re are baptized by the Holy Spirit. Forever changed. I myself again have not been baptized but I feel God in my life. I’ve changed my ways and love God with all my heart I Am saved by the grace of God.

@Spazzmonkey8 you bring up Ro.10:9-10, but you're not understanding what you read. Read >every< word again. "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in thine heart that God has raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart, man believes >UNTO< righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made >UNTO< salvation." Think about the Ethiopian Eunuch. After learning about Christ, he said, "Look here is water, what prevents me from being baptized. And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, "I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God." And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him." After the Eunuch confessed, Philip baptized him. Jesus said, "If you confess me before men, I will confess you before my Father who is in heaven." The disciples are preaching the keys to the kingdom. Confession is one of the keys. (Mt.16:19).

[32] And they spoke the word of the Lord to him together with all who were in his house. [33] And he took them that very hour of the night and washed their wounds, and immediately he was baptized, he and all his household. [34] And he brought them into his house and set food before them, and rejoiced greatly, having believed in God with his whole household. Paul did baptize gentiles or saw to it that they were baptized under his watch.

I was in the same boat. Raised in a Christian family and "accepted" Christ at 5 without a full understanding of what He did for me on that cross. I fell away for a long time, fell into sin, alcoholism that nearly destroyed marriage, chasing money and other worldly pleasures that just made me feel more and more miserable. Finally about 2 and a half months ago, I heard a sermon and I lost it and just broke down sobbing. I repented and asked God for forgiveness like I never have before. That was my clear and defining moment that I had accepted Him as my Savior. I wanted more than anything at that time to be closer to Him. I wanted a relationship with Him. What an Awesome God, to want to have a relationship with us. He never gave up on me and I more than ever want to serve and obey Him. That following week I started attending church regularly and look forward to being baptized

What this man taught is not correct. When you were reading your Bible verses, did you read that baptism is "for the forgiveness of sins" (Acts 2:38). It is NOT an outward expression of something inside. That is completely false. Baptism "washes away sins" (Acts 22:16). A scriptural baptism is a must if its to be done by faith.

There is no need for water baptism today if you have believed and trust the gospel. That Jesus died, shedding His blood, was buried and rose, for the forgiveness of your sins. When we believe this gospel message given to us only by Paul and put our trust in this alone, then we are saved. I Cor 15:1-4. Jesus said through Paul: 1Cor 1:17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. Notice the word BUT. This mean baptism is excluded from the gospel Paul preached by which we are saved. The gospel that saves us today does not require water baptism at all, for any reason or by any method. There is only one baptism for us in the body of Christ and the Spirit is the one who does the baptizing , NOT a man. One is ONE and it does NOT include water and it is done by the Spirit, not a man. We need to rightly divide God's word to understand that when God was dealing and working with the Jews He was not working with the body of Christ. Check out this 7 minute video, please. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mp3GYoKoq5ufe5Y

@@dkgrace6743 None of the scriptures you quoted said baptism is no longer necessary. The same group of Corinthians to whom Paul said 1 Corinthians 1:17 For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel, not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of no effect. Paul still had baptized 1 Corinthians 1:14,16 I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius; [16] And I baptized also the household of Stephanas: besides, I know not whether I baptized any other. Acts 18:7-8 And he departed thence, and entered into a certain man's house, named Justus, one that worshipped God, whose house joined hard to the synagogue. [8] And Crispus, the chief ruler of the synagogue, believed on the Lord with all his house; and many of the Corinthians hearing believed, and were baptized. Paul NEVER said baptism itself was cancelled even if he himself baptized only those few and had his companions baptize the rest. Telling others that baptism is no longer needed today, you're doing it completely under your own authority, not from the Bible. There is no where in the New Testament where it says baptism in water in Jesus's name has been cancelled. Any who say it has, has inferred it or read between the lines, seen shapes in the clouds, because of pre-existing beliefs. But the Bible, which is the standard, makes no such assertion.

@@Rejoran Hello again ERM. Are we talking again? I understand what you are saying. What you don't understand is the revelation of the mystery given to Paul for the body of Christ. A new dispensation, a new gospel, and a new audience, w/o needing Israel the law or the covenants. Your teaching is only based on partial information. Not the complete revelation given to Paul who completed the word of God. Col 1:25 Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God; Paul finished the word of God and is our pattern to follow Christ. If you want to understand God's word you have to understand 2 very important things: 1. We need to rightly divide the word of God. Otherwise we will be ashamed. II Tim 2:15 2. Understand we need to listen to the last words of Jesus that He gave to Paul. ALL scripture is for us but not ALL scripture is to or about us. 2Tim 2:7 Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things. Not sure which bible you are reading but Paul never once talks about water baptism in a positive way in his epistles. This is easy to disprove with verses, but there are none. And don't put water where it is not. Rom 6 or Col 1.
@Rejoran
@Rejoran 3 жыл бұрын
@@dkgrace6743, if I have disappeared for a while, it's not because I was avoiding you. I'm not always available to chat. Yes, I have recently become aware of this Paulinian subculture. I asked an evangelical preacher and he told me it's not mainstream evangelical thought. I will not spin my wheels on that at this time other than to say that it is seriously misguided. But even given this "Paulian" paradigm, Paul never actually STATED baptism is cancelled, as exemplified in my previous post. Romans 6:3-7 is about baptism in water as with vs. 5, there is no likeness to the dbr by any baptism other than baptism in water in Jesus's name and he spoke very positively of baptism here as well in other places. Paul NEVER said anything negative or cancelling about baptism in water.
@dkgrace6743
@dkgrace6743 3 жыл бұрын
@@Rejoran But yes, Paul said it was not part of the gospel he preached. That negates it for it to be necessary to be saved by all accounts. That's enough for me. I Cor 1:17. Paul never mentions water baptism as part of or necessary for salvation in his epistles. People who think that, don't get it from Paul's scriptures, they carry it over from Israel's program under the gospel of the kingdom when there were many things necessary under that gospel. Including but not limited to: Keeping the law Offering animal sacrifices Selling all you had Forgiving others to get forgiveness Getting water baptized Repenting Paul makes it clear that the baptism he is talking about is necessary for salvation to every believer, not before salvation is had, but by the Spirit after one believes and puts their trust in the gospel Jesus gave to Paul for the body of Christ. Eph 1:13. And that there is only ONE baptism for us the body of Christ. Gal 4:5. And it does not include water. And the Spirit is the one doing it and it PUTS us into Christ. Water baptism puts us into WATER. Water baptism is a work of the flesh, and we are not saved by works of any kind, it is not of ourselves. Titus 3:5, Eph 2:8-9 You need to keep going in the progressive revelation Jesus gave to Paul. These were Jesus' last words written by the last person to see Christ and to pen the last words in our complete perfect preserved word of God. If we miss Paul - we miss salvation by grace and the proper Christian life to live by. Peace and Grace. Have a good week.

@@moko00o The only requirement for baptism is to believe with all your heart that Jesus is Lord and after turning the Lord Jesus baptism happens. This is a legal transaction where the Holy Spirit baptizes you into the body of Christ Jesus by using other believers 1 Corinthians 12:13. Babies are dedicated into various denomination and is really a dedication service.and never a baptism because babies can’t make this important commitment. It’s important that those believers that are baptized you know what they are doing. You are burying your old man in the waters of baptism. Old sin that you are ashamed of and tormented by. . I will always ask the person being baptized what they want to bury. ( abortion,crime incest depression sickness disabilities cancer etc. ) Knowing that they are all left behind in the water and you are now raised in Christ in new life All oppression of the devil is now cast out in Jesus name and when you are free then you are filled with the Holy Spirit and sealed with the Holy Spirit until your redemption Ephesians 1:13 and 4:30.
