I was Saved the Sunday night, before Thanksgiving and Baptised 2 days(nights) later❤️✝️ November 1990. My Dad was smiling SO BIG, from the Congregation, watching his youngest daughter (of 3 girls) get Saved n Baptised ❤️.He passed away, suddenly, 2 years later, while Golfing, at the age of 57. I was 22. I'm so thankful he got to see that❤️🕊️✝️

What a blessing. A decision that you will NEVER regret. I got baptized as a little girl and didn't fully understand what it meant although I KNEW IT WAS SOMETHING SO TOTALLY AWESOME! ❤. It was MY decision alone, then. Fast forward to this past December I decided I NOW FULLY UNDERSTAND the meaning and DESIRED to do it as an adult. It was, is, and WILL ALWAYS BE a decision I made that I know ALL TO WELL I WILL NEVER REGRET! 🎉❤😊 Thank you for sharing your story and testimony.

Our pastor is a romantic....it will be in the sea @ sunset🌅 The Holy Spirit worked in my heart to get Baptised for a while now, but I wanted to wait for my husband. I've been born again a long time ago and till the time I saw this video I've been struggling about baptism because I've been told about my infant baptism. I've always confused like how we baptize first and then repent later, its not like in the Bible. I'm a Presbyterian and we care not to talk about baptism. But Now I Understand! Praise God

Fantastic. I had no idea how important it is to get baptized. But in my church they make you wait a long time, almost like you have to "earn the right" after being a parishioner for several months. I may just go to a lake and baptize myself in the meantime. Better than nothing

This doctrine that you are not saved unless you are baptized is not scriptural. I believe that this teaching is incorrect. His first verse that he read at the beginning of this video actually contradicts what he is teaching.

James River. So if you're not saved, you don't obey Christ to be saved? "And he became the author of salvation to all that obey him." Jesus did not have a problem with grammar, and He meant what he said in Mk.16. "He that believes (the gospel) ""and"" is baptized will be saved...". Faith + obedience = Salvation. "But he that believes not, will be condemned." Takes two acts to be saved, one to condemn. A person who refuses to believe the gospel has condemned himself, therefore does not meet the qualifications to be immersed into Christ, which is when Jesus forgives the sinner. Take a look at Rom.6:17-18. "But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have ""obeyed"" from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. Being ""then"" made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness." James River, according to the passages above, when does a person become free from sin, before or after obedience to the doctrine Paul explains in the beginning of the chapter??? James, it clearly is after one submits to being baptized. Faith and obedience is always conjoined in scripture (Jn.3:36 NASB). After Peter explained to the crowd on Pentecost what they needed to do to be saved (vs 36-38), notice they were not saved at the point of faith and repentance as you presume. For, Peter "continued with many other words testifying and exhorting saying ""save yourselves"" from this wicked generation" (vs.40). James River, if they were saved at the point of faith, which is your position, Peter would have never clarified they still needed saving. So what did they do to save themselves? Answer: "then they that gladly received his words were baptized: and on that same day were added unto them about three thousand souls" (vs.41). To save themselves they were baptized. Then/afterwards Jesus added the 3000 to them, those who Jesus first put into the church that same morning. Jesus does not add anyone to his church/kingdom until they are baptized for the forgiveness of their sins. Do you remember the conversation between Jesus and Nicodemus? Nicodemus and his fellow pharisee companions "rejected the counsel of God not being baptized of John." Let that sink in a moment. Jesus knew this when Nicodemus approached him that night. Nicodemus had no intentions of being baptized of John. So Jesus made it clear to him, if he wasn't born again, Jesus was not going to give him access to the kingdom of God. Nicodemus had a hard time understanding what Jesus meant by being born again. He knew full well a baby cannot go back into his mothers womb, much less an OLD man such as he, so it was obvious Jesus had something else in mind. Not the amniotic fluid which breaks at childbirth which Calvin invented. The question raised by Nicodemus was "how can an OLD man be born again?" Jesus answered and explained "unless a man (not a baby) is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God" (Jn.3:5). Nicodemus understood water to be a reference to Baptism, what he had difficulty with was regarding how the Holy Spirit plays a role in our conversion. Keeping in context, "that which is born of the flesh" is the Baptismal ceremony, which is the physical part of how one is born Again, it is visibly seen. Where "that which is born of the Spirit is spirit" is invisible, as the reception of the gift of the Holy Spirit, the forgiveness of sins, the answer of a good conscience toward God by the resurrection of Jesus Christ by which "baptism does also now save us" (1Pt.3:21). Read 1Pt.1:22-23 for an explanation of how the Spirit plays a role in our conversion.
