@humbertothebeliever24435 жыл бұрын
I've done all kinds of research and little by little Im starting to grasp the blockchain concept. But I agree, most people don't have a clue nor need to. All they need to know is that it can be used in many things but most popular one is it can serve as a payment platform and crypto currency has purchasing power like money. People dont know all the process involved in making paper money, just that they can buy or pay with it. Once blockchain becomes fully intergrated into the world economy people will only be concerned with using it.

Greg Sharma solar power. I’m Puerto Rican and i know for a fact that after the hurricane wiped out the grid down there that Tesla wanted to use PR as a test market to prove that his technology could power up the entire island ( similar size to Rhode Island Or Hawaii) , politics got in the way however, otherwise we would be a step closer to solar powered and this is what could work for 3rd world countries.

Thank you for this video and for the comments below. But can please someone explain me, how much blockchains exists? I ask this because in this video the blockchain is connected to bitcoin. So..., what happens with others cryptocurrencies like etherium or ripple and others...? Do they have their own blockchains? Also..., if this blockchain "thing" (that is almost te invention of the new wheel of XXI century), becomes universal and has so much data on it, how there is enough computational power? The demand will be exponencial. No? Thank you for your time.
@undead8906 жыл бұрын
Blockchains can be created for any number of uses, not just for currencies, though that is their most famous use so far. Anything can have its own blockchain, just like every business has its own database. Also, just like any other database, the data is not always being used, so computational requirements are not that high, its more about storage capacity than computational power. You would only try and access other stored copies of the data if you had reason to believe that the data you have got corrupted or was tampered with, or even destroyed. Think of it as more of a really advanced backup and security check for your data.

there is a strange concept on this technology that I can't understand why this technology is said to be efficient :(. if we are registered on a blockchain network, we will store a lot of transaction history from all network clients. of course we will need huge space to store it. doesn't it cost a lot?

@jakkrapatk5 жыл бұрын
In the past, we have middle men to help manage our transactions. It's centralisation depending on the middle men like banks or government agencies. If the banks and the government want to steal money from us, they can easily do just that and we cannot know. Blockchain has completely changed and cut the middle men. It's decentralisation - everyone can verify your transactions and they get reward in the form of bitcoin for example. The central agencies cannot steal money because if they want to steal money, they have to change the information of around 51% each members in the blockchain holds. It's impossible to do just that!

Ever heard of Russia's ASOM system (Auto-Saved On Microfilm) and ASOP system (Auto-Saved On Print)? Blockchain and Bitcoin works only in peace time and in times of normalcy, but when it's infrastructure and technostructure is threatened or gradually degraded or destroyed instantly by wars, civil unrests, or an all out thermo-nuclear exchange then the whole situation changes.

Helpful, however several years later after this video has been made, I know that blockchain can be hacked or at least you can lose money when you engage in blockchain exchanges. Perhaps these will be remedied so that the simple security implied in this video is sufficient to operate as designed according to posted by CNBC International 7 years ago.
