Kicking it with that hat Brandy letting your hair down. Now we need Beau in a dew rag and we get Pirates of Granada. Try baiting the hook with tartar sauce and see if that works. Fair winds guys.

Beau you've got to be in a stealth mode when youre spear fishing, try to be 'part' of the rock and wait, once the fish is near and in range, you shoot :D Dont follow the fish to obviously, no quick movements.. 18:18 Beau is cool like Harry Belafonte 😂hehe (Brandy you cool to :D) See you soon!

I lived in the USVI for nearly five years and I am sure you will like it there. St Croix is very different from St Thomas or St John. Worth the trip because of the different marine life. There are some areas around St Croix that have amazing Sea Horse habitat. Amazing and take a camera with a macro lens for some worthwhile pics. Enjoy,,, Joe

Hi You Two!! Best luck and well wishes with your journey to Grenada. You made mention of Curacao as a possible destination?? With Hurricane Season being in its early days, you may want to give a lot of consideration to Curacao (and the other islands in the ABC group)as it is located well below the hurricane belt. If a hurricane passes near the worst that they will experience is a lot of rain, lot more wind and rough water. Being on Curacao will put you in close sailing to Aruba and Bonaire. Keep up the great work with your videos. And thanks!!
@BeauAndBrandy4 жыл бұрын
Hey! Yes we would love to visit the ABCs for the hurricane season , but at the moment the A & B are closed and C is under 14 days of quarantine on land at your own expense and we have friends that have done it. It’s expensive.

On Grenada a lot of unused charter boats have been placed in hurricane holes, to make room for the flotilla of boats coming to Grenada. Don't know if you are underway or already there but Grenada would be where I wanna go.

Just curious why you all don’t take small sting rays for meat as well. I’ve watched from beginning of ur channel plus sailing uma and project Atticus all from beginning. At least it’s a good white meat in Tampa Bay Area. Almost a flavor of shark or scallops to me. Just curious.

I noticed that you have a spear gun in the USVI, but know they are illegal in the Bahamas. Can you carry it with you through the Bahamas, or did you have to buy one in the USVI?? How do you juggle that with customs?
@BeauAndBrandy4 жыл бұрын
We actually didn’t have it in the Bahamas. Picked one up in Grenada. Some places you just have to claim it. Haven’t had an issue with it at all.

What is your autopilot? Clearly this item will be important if you sail non-stop to Grenada from the USVIs.
@BeauAndBrandy4 жыл бұрын
We don’t have an autopilot at the moment. We have sailed 1.5 years so far without one. Should be getting one soon though. Will make the sail to Grenada easier for sure!
@roncanizares99664 жыл бұрын
You likely did not sail long, non-stop distances in the past 1.5 years, so if you have big adventures planned then a good autopilot will be essential for sailing double handed. I'd recommend a good (used if possible) wind vane. The harder it blows, the better they steer. A "wheel pilot" won't cut it is big weather, and a below deck unit will be just as expensive as a wind vane, will eat energy big time and be more likely to fail.
@BeauAndBrandy4 жыл бұрын
We have done 6- 9 day passages more than once, including our sail from PR to Grenada last seasons Being all electric a wind vane would be ideal. It’s not in the budget at the moment though. A friend is sending us an auto pilot. So hopefully we can used that until we can get a wind vane, if not we will hand steer.
@roncanizares99664 жыл бұрын
Wow! 6-9 day non-stop passages hand steering for two people is a real challenge. I'm not sure if I should say: "Good for you guys" or "You guys need to see a mental health professional". Hope you get an autopilot soon!

Do you ever worry about sharks
@dutchglobetrotter45134 жыл бұрын
Why worries about those amazing creatures? There are only a handful considered dangerous and even those sharks only attack humans when they are really hungry. But most times by mistake because they don't really like the taste of human.
@DougVarble4 жыл бұрын
I have to agree with the Dutch Globetrotter, very few sharks to even worry about in most places, but I live in STL
@dutchglobetrotter45134 жыл бұрын
@@DougVarble Please enlighten me where is STL?
@BeauAndBrandy4 жыл бұрын
No, not unless we are spearing. We haven’t really seen any bigger sharks here. Just nurse sharks and reef sharks. They tend to keep their distance.
