Just got to this video and I can't believe a breast surgeon also experienced breast cancer. Sorry you went through that but you are absolutely a hero in this field. It gives comfort to other women. Can you make a video on Papillary carcinoma of the Breast? It's so rare that hard to find videos on it. Just got diagnosed with Invasive Papillary Carcinoma, no lymphnode, 28mm, clear margin. Will this need chemo? Other sources say it's rare to get chemo. How common for IPC to reocurr?

I have metaplastic and HER2+ breast cancers. I wasn't aware before that it was possible to have two types. I can find virtually nothing about metaplastic.... a video about this would be great. Thanks. Chemo proposed is Trastuzumab, Carboplatin and Docetaxel, post surgery.

Great video!! Please make videos like this. I was diagnosed with stage 3 ILC grade 1. I’m on neoadjuvant chemo at the moment, followed by mastectomy, radiation and 10 years of aromatase inhibitors. Any info to help avoid recurrence would be great. Thank you!

At the moment it doesn’t mean anything for patients. Luminal cancers are Er+ HER2 -ve. A have a low Ki67 and B have a high Ki67

What about micropapillary breast cancer? That's the kind I was diagnosed with in 2009.

Do you have info to share about Ki 67? I had a large, low grade tumour. From my understanding from my last appointment with my doctor, I may have a high measure of Ki67, but it was not measured.

I’ll do a video on that shortly. It’s a marker of how quickly a cancer might be growing, just like grade, that doctors use to help decide whether you need chemo. It’s not routinely measured but is part of the a oncotype test

No it doesn’t. It’s a myth that influencers like to push but there is NO evidence to prove it.

Why is soo many young women getting this horrible disease?

It is still relatively rare in young women - 1:2000 get it - but most of them are on social media so we are more aware of them. 50% cases are in women over the age of 50
