the tought behind the EQ is that it's bus processor. If you want something more surgical you should do that on a channel strip not a sub mix

Thanks for putting this series together, it's very helpful. I've had this effect for some time as part of the FX2 collection, but haven't really used it until now, and I can certainly see the benefits of having a tool like this. The only problem is that it appears to be a real CPU hog. In Cubase 12 Pro, with no instruments loaded, I put Bus Force as an effect on the stereo out channel, only to find that it was using 12% of the CPU without doing anything at all, which is crazy to me. I used it in a project that was running fine without it, but it brought Cubase to a crunching halt with dropouts, clicks, pops, and all the other symptoms of CPU overload. My system is a desktop PC, i7-8700, 4.3GHz, 16GB RAM, and have never had any real issues like this before, except with certain Kontakt instruments (looking at you, NI Straylight), and (annoyingly) Pigments 4. So, right now, while this is a good tool, I can't really put it to use in my projects unless I maybe bounce everything first.

You're very welcome!! I'm glad the series was helpful for you. That's strange that it uses so much CPU on your computer. I didn't notice a CPU spike that that before. I'll look again but our computer specs aren't that different so it makes me wonder why thats happening on your end 🤔

@@jonaudio Thanks, Jon, I have no idea either. I had several instances of Bus Force running in my project - on group buses, and the main mix bus. It could be that some of combination of instruments, effects, and other plugins simply amounted to too much, but I don't know for sure. I do know the problem was fixed when I disabled the Bus Force plugins, though.

Thats really interesting, so I just tried it out on my end, I have on instance of zebra2 running and thats about 7% cpu, and I added bus force on the master channel and it went up to 17-19% very interesting indeed.

@@jonaudio That is interesting, at least it's not just me. I noticed a while back that another Arturia plugin (Memory Brigade Delay) also behaves oddly by outputting noise (albeit at quite a low volume) when there's not even any sound being processed by it. Took me a while to figure out where that was coming from in a recent project. I know they're going for analog emulation, but that seems a bit too faithful for me LoL

It’s the oversampling and linear phase setting on the bottom of the plugin, when it’s on render and linear the cpu usage is insane
