Thanks for always using the Word. The only "Truth" we need to understand and know. - You started with Luke 2:10 - The angel of God told the shepherds to fear not and then went on to tell them that "I bring you good news and great joy that will be for all people." The water we drink and the sky God created was for all people and it brings us joy. For Christians I believe Gods creations means more at a spiritual realm because we personally know God created and gifted these things to us. If we do not drink the water or enjoy the beauty of His sky it has no value it's doesn't change the fact that it's for all men. Next verse 14: Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased! - As the verse points out this isn't taken as a universal declaration of peace to all humanity but only to "those whom he is pleased". Thanks again for sharing and giving us all a platform to share and learn more about the Bible.

The remark you made about perseverance of the saint that I keep thinking about and saying to others but never heard anyone else mention it! There’s no security in the doctrine like they think there is. Because how can you assure someone at this moment in time that they won’t in the future reject God, become an atheist like many devoted Christian have done. And be one of those “well they were never a Christian in the first place!”

In Ephesians 2:8-10 (CSB), Paul writes, "8 We are saved by grace through faith, and this is not FROM YOURSELVES; it is God's gift - 9 not from WORKS, so that NO ONE can boast, 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared ahead of time for us to do. (apologies for the all caps, formatting not available for emphasis on points) 1 "Grace through faith . .. not from yourselves" Clearly this speaks of our Salvation as a Gift from God, in which you can argue the predestined elect has been previously chosen for this gift from God. We have nothing to do with this (of course because of God providing the sacrifice (Jesus)), and we also have nothing to do with this because we are wretched by nature and would (obviously) be incapable to fulfill mans obligation to the covenant, including choice. 2. We can not claim salvation through works, and I believe that includes choices we make. The purpose of course is, as Paul writes, so that no one can boast. The idea of works includes anything with in man's capability including choices we make. Obviously because of our sinful nature we would most likely screw up the idea of "Choosing Salvation", thus God would need to orchestrate our salvation by having an elected, predestined people. I also believe that Saul (Paul) did not choose salvation and that it was a direct mandate from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to: accept salvation, obey in going to Damascus (for Ananias) and defend the gospel of Jesus. Please let me know if I am unclear or have misinterpreted in anyway.

We are saved be grace through FAITH. Because by FAITH we believe JESUS is the Son Of God and that he died for our SINS therefore God saves us because of our FAITH in Him

It seems to me that your teaching that a saint can loose his or her salvation because they reverted back to sin. I guess salvation is based on a person abstaining from sin and not on the finished work of Christ.
@lenafreeze71313 жыл бұрын
That’s not what they said. It’s not based on sin or “ if you sin to much it’s over” But based on a lifestyle of leaving Christianity or a rebellion against God. A lifestyle of sin that reveals the heart. Where that point is God knows but just like our lives as Christian will be reflected by living right, it’s not the living right that saves but a reflection of Gods work in our heart. “Faith without works is dead”

I really don’t get why people hang on to free will do much? Isaiah 10 shows us we don’t have free will. God is in total sovereign control of His people. I don’t think y’all have a good grasp of Calvinism, maybe hyper Calvinism but not a good grasp of the doctrines of Grace.
@rolandjosef79612 жыл бұрын
Calvinism makes the God the Father evil and uncaring. It would make Allah the god of Islam merciful. There is no real love mercy and grace in TULIP. I would rather serve a God who disallows music in Churches than sends people to hell because of no fault of their own. Fortunately, the real God in heaven and in scriptures is full of love, grace, & mercy and when he says he wants to save all people, he trully means ALL people which includes you and me.
