I Was born in 2000. So I started watching CN in 2005 so The eras i grew up on were the city era The noods era Check it 1.0 era (2010-2012) I stopped watching in 2013 when shows like uncle grandpa and clarence came out.

I think the Crossover Promo's were cut due to the amount of time and Money put into the Promos and when the internet Came people could just upload them to KZbin. The City Era indents were made to give Reruns more re-watch value cause You might remember the Episode and everything that happens in it, but you might see a promo with Lazlo and the The PPG do something funny that's usually less likely to be on. It's something so full of charm that all the Kids Networks Did (Even 4Kids) that can't really be replicated outside of anniversary videos or something along the likes

I started to shift away from Cartoons around the "City Era". I caught the very beginning of it but began to outgrow the channel barring Adult Swim. The Golden Era (1998-2004) will forever be the best era of the channel in my opinion. You really had to be there. You had Dexter's Lab, Powerpuff Girls, Ed, Edd n Eddy, Courage, Samurai Jack, DBZ, Yu Yu Hakusho, Sailor Moon, Justice League, Teen Titans,Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Static Shock, KND,etc...

Easily the powerhouse era. Toonami, adult swim, boomerang and cartoon theatre all got their start in this era. Dexter's laboratory, johnny bravo, powerpuff girls, courage the cowardly dog, samurai jack, ed edd n eddy, cow and chicken, codename: kids next door, the grim adventures of billy and mandy, star wars: clone wars and space ghost: coast to coast either started or were in their prime during this era. Plus you had things like scooby-doo project, cartoon campaign and their superbowl spoofs.

I LOVE the City Era. Absolutely amazing for the packaging (promos, bumpers, etc.) alone. However, my fave has to be the Powerhouse era; it had the greatest selection of shows whereas the City era started to see less variety. The packaging was also incredibly fun, creative and really "animated" Cartoon Network as channel.

CN City era definitely had the best bumpers, no question. But with the exceptions of Foster's Home and Ben 10, most of the CN originals that premiered during the City Era were weak when compared to earlier hits such as Ed, Edd n Eddy and Courage the Cowardly Dog. Also, it was around that time that CN started to experiment with live action (showing live-action movies like Cats & Dogs and premiering Re-Animated), many classic Cartoon Cartoons ended, and Tickle U became a thing. To me, the Powerhouse era of 1998-2004 truly felt like CN at it's prime, mainly because it was the heart of the Cartoon Cartoons era, where CN had the best lineup of shows and programming blocks, and the Powerhouse music was always super catchy to listen to. CN City was still a good time to watch CN, but Powerhouse is still the best era IMO. The worst era is without question CHECK IT 4.0/4.5 (2015-present). Sitting through endless TTG reruns and abysmal reboots is so painful it's like getting wisdom teeth removed. Also, I hate that the channel now refuses to air action shows, and everything else has to be 11 minute comedies in order to succeed on the network.

GetShr8kt I agree city era has the best bumpers while the Powerhouse era has the better scheduling and management since The powerhouse era has the best cartoons and it’s the heart for Cartoon Cartoons. My personal favorite is powerhouse era I also liked the city era despite a lot of shows from the city era that first premiered (with the exception of Fosters home and Ben 10) were Mediocre at best. Overall I loved both eras.

If only I had discovered this video a year ago I would have reiterated the exact same statements. I was lucky to start watching CN in 2001 and catch the 2nd half of the Powerhouse Era, because the Powerhouse Era was clearly the better era if you were watching it before CN City debuted in 2004, although, CN City was still great, but the Powerhouse Era was still the best overall because of the reasons you listed. The YES part of the City Era was the start of CN's downfall IMO, and Re-Animated movie and TOM 4 were part of that.

My favorite era is Check It 1.0 - 2.0 (mid 2010 - early 2013), and for a few reasons: -CN still had plenty of variety both in the schedule and the lineup of cartoons -A lot of amazing cartoons like Adventure Time, Regular Show, and Generator Rex were popular during this era -Boomerang was still good, so kids could still enjoy both classic Hannah Barbera cartoons and Cartoon Cartoons -mid 2010-early 2013 were my tween years, so I wasn’t too young or too old to be watching anything on the network at the time -CN had a Monday night block for new premieres of their cartoons, so kids finally had a reason to look forward to Mondays -These were the last pre Teen Titans Go years, so TTG was still unheard of at the time and no bumpers spamming it as “your new favorite show” like nowadays

I remember the City era the most and I loved it. Then one day it just stopped, and I thought it was something like a special thing happening. And I waited for it to come back. I sat almost every day just waiting, I would watch the commercial breaks just waiting for new city bumpers. And they didn’t come back. So I waited some more. And waited, and waited, and kept waiting. Now, years and years have passed, and the city era exists only as distant memories. Cherished distant memories. I can’t help but think about how maybe they’re all still there, maybe they’re all still living a wonderful life in their wonderful city.

I agree with you on CN City. I wish we'd have a chance to see Steven and the Gems, Gumball and Darwin, Mordecai and Rigby, Finn and Jake, Clarence, Craig of the Creek, We Bare Bears to be included in the City and how they would interact with other cartoon characters they're unfamiliar with. But also makes me curious if they included Titans Go, would they replace the classic Titans, or would the two sides run into each other off the street

My favorite era is when shows like Adventure Time and Regular Show were popular. It made me felt welcome tuning into Cartoon Network again after I've been gone from it for a few years only spending that time watching Nickelodeon and then snuck my way back to there by watching Chowder before it ended. Yes! The 2000s was the best era. They had so many cartoons that I watched all day. They PPG, Dexter, KND, Foster's, Samurai Jack, Megas XLR, Ben 10, Justice League, Edd, Ed n Eddy, Courage, Scooby doo, Teen Titans, Emperor's new School and so many more. Honesty I cannot disagree with this. The cartoon city era was the best. It was like the "shorts" of cross overs with other cartoons.

CN City was the best thing to watch when i was little i loved those interactions between charcters and the "next show" transitions never felt that you were watching the same one.

I liked the check it 3.0 era, most likely because I was too young to remember the city era, but when adventure time and regular show were the top shows of the channel, it was the best for me. Basically from 2010-2014

2010 era or when regular show and adventure time where out I remember watching this as I twelve year old and I just grew up with it and it was probably the best era
