This can be observed. A real change, a permanent state from which there is no possibility of going back. It always happens spontaneously, for no particular reason. And it is very sudden, you cannot really say why or when the change occurred. In fact it is as if it never happened.

The question of 'what is change?', is a critical one in the field of addiction/recovery. There is much conflict over what can be reconginized as change and as to why or how. Introducing the question of whether there is psychological change, at all, could make for change not engendered by comparison but by natural intelligence.

Sir, Ideal implies our projection of thought, What one wants to be Or what one should have been.. So, it always acts as a barrier to understand the present with one's full energy...

In short one can't realise self irrespective of change if one runs behind the betterment as an ideal object to achieve. Dropping the conflict of what I am now and what I should be, perhaps can support to resolve the phenomenon of self realisation.

The total Ideal means , total surrender ! Is it ?🤔 Can someone help me.

ideal is the future that we want to become
@MsDomminus Жыл бұрын
It’s not about helping someone. Total surrender means no psychological effort. This is not an ideal, is it? The psychological effort to become this or that ceases when you see very clearly that any ideal gives continuity to the ego, because it wants to reach something. In order to reach something, the conflicted entity has to have continuity. Seeing, understanding clearly, has its own action in detaining this movement of becoming - it withers away and dies. What happens when there is no coming to be, when there is no becoming? There is be-ing - is it not so?

Total surrender is only possible when you see clearly that there is nothing that is happening the way you want. Everything is off. Then only the total surrrender is!!! What is total ideal???
@venukrishna8453 Жыл бұрын
No. Total ideal means, the wish to become something. Example, you want to become a CEO. So CEO is your total ideal, which you want to become.

The body has no life of itself. Thought has no life of itself. By themselves, they are inert. They are activated by life. Life is the only Being. What is life? What is consciousness? When activated by life, thought creates the idea "I", a simulacrum of Being. Because thought is limited, the simulacrum is limited, insufficient. Consciousness, which is life, cannot be measured - it is infinite, unknowable. Because life is infinite, the simulacrum, by reflection, wants to be complete too. So, it goes after power, position, fortune, ideals, and all the rest of it, never reaching completeness. In this ambition, it creates divisions, competition, wars and destruction. In this movement of becoming, the simulacrum has continuity, with all its miseries. Do I depend on thought to be alive and conscious? Who or what am I? Am I not the unknowable, the timeless, the immeasurable?
