Okay I'll admit it Merida was the first place I lived when I moved to Merida about 3 years ago. In May, after spending 4 months in the US, I decided to see more of my adopted country and I'm currently in the Central Highlands of Mexico. And I gotta say, I do NOT miss the heat of Yucatan. Even though it's been hotter than normal near Popo, I much prefer this area compared to Merida. However, the people are much friendlier in the state of Yucatan compared to where I'm at now.

This is fabulous! Hoping to be in Merida for 2023 Hanal Pixan. Are the main event dates always 31 Oct - 2 Nov? Or do events get moved to the weekend? I saw the main parades happen the weekend before in Mexico City. Thanks!

Thank you! I am very excited! Mérida celebrates the weekend before the actual dates. This is more for the tourism part of it. November 1st and 2nd is more for the families but activities are still going on. Merida has done a lot to pump up their tourism!

Wow! Loved this video. So this is just a taste of what to expect? I can already see it is going to be so much fun, especially since this will be my first time and I'm going to have to try the day of the dead makeup for sure and on my onewheel 💀🏂😜. I bet the trip will sell out after watching this vid. I'm sure after doing all those activities you'll be so tired and it will be very nice to come back to your fancy hotel room for rest. 🏤😴
