Great explanation! I do all of the things. Clean keto, dirty keto, lazy, strict, clean fasting, dirty fasting. Basically however I feel during that week. Changing it up! -Emily

I'm doing the 16:8 and basically drink coffee and bone broth all day for 1 week now. Down 5 lbs. Not bad.

I’ve been doing dirty fasting for 8 months and have lost 79 lbs. I still drink bone broth and diet Soda during fasting if I feel like something.

I do clean fasting some, but I do "dirty" fasting more. I have been following a low carb / keto / dirty fasting life style for about 2 years now and I have lost 130 pounds. My blood pressure has greatly improved. My health has greatly improved!

Kristi I always love your videos! I have been Keto for over 2 years and at my GW for over a year. I did 6 months of clean fasting and hated it!! I switched to my definition of dirty fasting (less than 50 calories) and now fast 16-20 hours 5 days a week and love it. Thank you for always keeping things real!!

My wife and I do "dirty fasting" but we didn't know it...lol. We've been drinking zero calorie liquids w/ added fats for a 20hr fast for the past year to help reduce calories and it DEFINITELY works. We were calling it a 20hr liquid fast😄. Adding the little bit of fat keeps us satiated and the zero calorie drinks tastes better than just having plain water. Will definitely show my wife this video. You're giving reasonable alternatives for people which is great!

This sounds like something I can do. I’m going to give this a try. I have about 40 more lbs to go till I reach my goal weight. I’ve lost 85 so far but have stalled for several months now.

I have been “dirty fasting” since I’ve started my keto journey in April of this year. I have lost 40 pounds, I don’t think this way of fasting has affected me as people may think. 🤷🏼‍♀️I have my morning coffee with HWC plus my collagen powder. Then just have my lunch around noon. It has worked really well for me thus far.

I have HWC and Collagen in my morning ☕ as well. I use not drink ☕ until keto now I look forward to a cup in the mornings or early afternoon 🙂

OMG you are a lifesaver I have been doing intermittent fasting for 3 months watching another KZbin Channel.. she is really hardcore only drinks black coffee and water. I can do intermittent fasting for 20 hours, but after that I need a diet dr. Pepper iced tea and a good meal 🤣 I'm happy I found your channel I think this is a lot more my speed.

Your videos are absolutely amazing. I have tried regular fasting, and keto for a year. it worked to a certain extent for me, then I got really tired of not having what I want. Dirty fasting absolutely is gold to me!

I so agree with you on dirty fasting. I could eat my way through the day so my doing even dirty fasting is a huge plus AND I do lose weight and feel so much better. I drink coffee, diet coke, unsweetened ice tea and lots of water. Thanks for your video

Kristi I did intermittent fasting and 30-60 carbs and lost 28 lbs in 6 weeks.i haven't tried and all day fast and can't do omad cause I had my gallbladder out,they tell you don't do omad if you have had your gallbladder out.thankyou so much for all the info you are a sweetheart and your videos i watch a lot.take care keep up the great work.👍❤️😊

Loved this video, especially the part about keto police & negative comments. Every body is different & there isn't a one size fits all. I have been trying fasting again. Did it for a while but stopped because I don't like being so hungry. Unfortunately, I did gain a few pounds so been back on this week & showing progress. Thanks for sharing your experience. This is perfect for someone new to fasting!! It may not be “clean,” but it’s better than not fasting. I never tried fasting because I couldn’t go without coffee in the morning. Now I think I can do this!

Over the course of 6 weeks, I lost a touch more dirty fasting than clean fasting. I also think I can extend my fast if I can dirty fast. Maybe that will even be better for me.

I clean fasted for 5 days. It was hard after day 3, but I finished and by day 6 I lost 7 lbs and have kept it off by eating low carb and eating within maintenance calories. I did dirty fast for 10 days before and also lost weight. I drank mostly soup broths and Gatorade. Yes, different goals. Great video!

I have been doing dirty fasting without even realizing it🤔 I have lost 1 lb in 2 days😁 I'm on my 4th day of dirty fasting. I'm trying to do 16/8 but it gets the hardest for me after supper because I always want a snack (usually sweet treat) before 🛏️😞

You have given me hope! I lost 30 lbs on strict keto before but I just couldn’t stick with it. I feel like this can become my way of life eating and I can lose weight. I have just found out I am type 2 diabetic at 6.5 A1C. My father pasted away at 61 with complications from type 2 diabetes.

Thank you for posting on "dirty" fasting. I have been fasting & keto for over 6 months--since before this whole covid crap started. But once I was required to "shelter in place" the keto went out the window and the dirty fasting began. I was used to going 16-20 before eating and that didn't change much. But I did start adding heavy cream & artificial sweetener back to my morning coffee. I'm like you and my brain doesn't like feeling "deprived." So now I feel like I'm still fasting. Thanks for making me realize that the "fasting police" don't live my life. Love your videos.

I've had good success with dirty fasting with iceberg lettuce, cucumbers and celery. Mostly in the evening into nighttime because i had a bad habit of grazing and bordem eating.

Dirty fasting at least seems tolerable. I've tried clean fasting a few times and it's just not fun at all, in my opinion. If I can't have a cup of coffee in the morning then whatever benefits I might be getting are simply not worth the price. Adding in some Perfect Keto base would help a lot, too, I expect.

I have always been a dirty faster on about 16/8 schedule. I always drink my water with lemon and salt to start my day and then a diet coke because I have to have my caffeine and don't drink coffee. It works great for me!

For caffeine you could try Zevia Cola or Bai drinks instead of coffee as well.

Currently I usually do 16 hours clean fast but I’ve stalled. I have no problem eating bacon and eggs...thinking I may still be eating too much. A dirty fast and OMAD might be the ticket. I’m going to try it! I want etoffagy but at this point I need to focus on weight loss. This may help. Thanks!

K, so what is your eating window? You said you can go 20-22 hours so I am just wondering if you eat and when? Also, can you think about maybe doing a KZbin live chat for those of us that don’t have IG or FB? Just throwing that out there. Of course you do you! Thank you for this. I have been doing kind of the same thing and eating between 2-6 but am just stuck on the scale and have been for a few weeks! Have to do me and keep trying things out! I'm diabetic and have a very hard time fasting. I get so sick and my blood sugar plummets. I want the benefits of the major weight loss. I have 100 lbs to lose, which is how I ended up with the healthproblems I have!

Drink, and, eat, foods that stabilize your blood sugars. It's my understanding that ACV daily will help stabilize it. There are foods too you should be eating, like good fats, which will help you feel fuller longer. I hope you have found the answers you're looking for. God bless. See Dr. Bergs videos also.

Thank u! It took me a min to realize that me drinking Gatorade Powder (it is lighter than regular) was dirty fasting (becuz i was mostly focusing on not eating as much, cuz my biggest issues is snacking, and not drinking as much pop (i have a pop addiction)) also found out my vitamins were also dirty fasting 😹 which i can not change the time i take them becuz i already have my routine and i suck at remember to take pills otherwise lol. I havent been drinking my iceed coffee becuz i have to have it with sweetened creamer but i might start doing it again but wont be adding breakfast essentials to it like i used to lol and only allow myself 1 small glass every morning (i usually only drink 1 anyways). I think i was lucky when i was 1st learning about IF that the person said that u dont have too be super strict with ur IF and that u cam adjust ur window as u need to becuz after seeing how strict some ppl are if i would have seen more strict videos about IF i would have never started it, i havent had any physical success yet that i know of (i havent been able to weigh myself) but i know i am eating less (i dont do keto becuz i love my flour based carbs lol) and am making the changes that i want to make in my life ☺ and finally this seems like something that i can stick with in the long run (especially since it isnt costing me any extra money haha) and i cant wait to be able to weigh myself and see exactly where i am at now 😁

Mct oil is 120calories per tbsp. You said it was ok while dirty fasting. but you also said don't go over 50calories.!! I'm confused 🤔

Thank you for sharing! I do have a couple of questions, though. When you do your dirty fasting, when do you start? (I'm assuming the night before?) How long do you fast for, typically? You said you did OMAD along with it ... what do you typically have for that meal, and about how many calories would it be? Thanks! 😊

I don't count calories, never have. I focus on net carbs and staying under 20. I start my fast at night around 9 or 10. Then drink a Bang or iced coffee between 7 and 9am.

I am having a hard time loosing more weight. It looks like I am stuck. I have given up all carbs, and sugar. Maybe my age has something to do with it. I am 72 years old. Currently 150 pounds. Help!
