Is a controlled parking zone and a restricted parking zone the same thing? The only difference I can find is that in a controlled parking zone there will be yellow lines on the road and yellow ticks on the kerb but in a restricted parking zone there are no yellow lines on the road and there are no yellow ticks on the kerb.

Hello Wayne. Reply from Google Ai "A controlled parking zone (CPZ) limits parking on public roads during certain times, while a restricted parking zone (RPZ) has waiting and possibly loading restrictions throughout the zone"

Hi mate. 👋 Thank you so much for having a look for me, I really do appreciate it, I’ve also had a look in the online version of “know your traffic signs”, it says controlled parking zones have yellow lines and yellow loading ticks but restricted parking zones don’t have them.

Also mate, about my previous question about the single white line in tunnels, rule 129 doesn’t apply to them because they’re not double white lines, it’s only 1 single white line which isn’t mentioned in the Highway Code so there’s no rules or no laws attached to them, it’s just a lane divider, there’s no offence if you cross the line, it’s just to discourage lane changing but of course if there is a sign on the entry to the tunnel saying “keep in lane” then you must respect what the sign says and keep in lane until you have exited the tunnel and the road marking allow you to change lanes.
