How about the residual value? Do we need to calculate it or not?
@sunny.sensei7 ай бұрын
The residual value is referred to as “salvage value” in the lesson. Residual Value or the Salvage Value has to be considered while calculating the depreciation. Please have another look at the sample questions in the lesson.

By Straightline method the depreciation is not 10% but 9.9 percent since the residual value is 1000. Is that correct?
@shine2678 Жыл бұрын
just round it off to 10
@intruder7376 Жыл бұрын
@@shine2678 We can't round off percentage rates as we do with amounts, I think he is asking In slm method depreciation per year will be 9900, which is 9.9% of 100000.

You are right. If we use the Straight Line Method, the depreciation will be 9.9%. You might find this lesson on Straight Line Depreciation helpful: kzbin.info/www/bejne/joXWgWCGiLeUrK8si=yE4H5Rt6P4FOwttX All the best with your studies!
