I was just looking at their website -- shingles made of 95% recycled tires! Looks like a Canadian product. Will look into these for my upcoming re-roof prject!

is there a reason I can't find this stuff in the us at all? also why would you use rubber on something the sun will hit for half the day? Rubber cracks as it drys, and it holds heat.. just builder to builder why not a more durable material for time? how long do these roofs last? i really dig the layouts tho i wish more materials had layouts built in like drywall and osb sheeting, really cool system just curious is all..

Checking their site, they say more expensive than an asphalt roof, but cheaper than metal or maybe compostable. Cheaper than cedar shake. They do advertise a 50 year warranty and at least that long in useable time. This does seem more diy friendly also but not sure how you would go about buying the product.
