“Expository Preaching is text driven, God exulting, Christ centered, Spirit empowered, exegetically grounded, theologically precise, logically ordered, passionately delivered, boldly declared, pastorally applied, and evangelistically aimed. Anything else fails to hit the mark and meet the standard as set forth in Scripture”. Amen.

The Bible instructs how just as Dr. Lawson reiterated: Study the word, memorize it. 2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV) Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

The best exposition of the God’d word indeed it’s just reading it to the congregation and allow the Holy Spirit talk to their Hearts by the essence of the same Word and not by adding ketchup or mustard by opinions of these so called “anointed -elitist -supremacist , scholars of the Faith “. This is eye-opening. I pray that every follower of Christ will know about this. One of the questions I have about "PREACHERS" was answered here. Thank you! All along I wasn't aware although there's a little part of me that I am. But yes, thank you! Truly, AWARENESS is LIFE! I pray that we will be AWARE of the preachers whom we're listening whether online or offline.

A good example of expository preaching is what the Holy Spirit does to the born-again child, in whom He resides: "But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things (in an expository way) and will remind you of everything I have said to you" (John14:26) "But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth. He will not do expository preaching on his own; He will speak only what He hears, and He will tell you what is yet to come" (John 16:13) "As for you, the Anointing which you received from Him remains in you, and you don’t need for anyone to do expository preaching to you. But as His Anointing preaches to you concerning all things, and is true, and is no lie, and even as He taught you, you will remain in Him" (1John 2:27)

"They love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues, And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi. But be not ye called Rabbi: for _one_ is your Master, even Christ; and _all ye_ are brethren. And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. Neither be ye called masters: for _one_ is your Master, even Christ." - KING JESUS

These definitions clash with the charisma worldwide . Honestly the best expository preaching is when these leaders in the real life show love when you see them and are free of scandals like J Mac who is involved lately , and been exposed by Julie Roys .

This is great but topical preaching is legitimate preaching as well. It's not either/or but optional for each preacher and at different times. The main thing is "preach the Word" to all the world but to believers, "feed my sheep" in preaching the Word.

“None of us are free to redefine biblical preaching”...proceeds to redefine biblical preaching without the Bible. If this is the biblical definition then where’s the Bible??! I weary at the spirit of elitism that most of these “scholars” have. Usually they are the only ones that are “real” preachers. This attitude breeds Bible college theologians who scoff at anything other than MacArthur, Lawson or Sproul (all preachers I love). Preacher, love Christ with all of your heart and seek to obey him. He’s a way better at making preachers than any of these men.
@lewis76ad3 жыл бұрын
These dinosaurs 🦕 must retire because they were stuck in the gospel of the 70’s . The new progressive preachers don’t buy these ideologies, time has changed and the laws too . Using the Bible for hate speech against any group of the society might end up in serving jail time like the stubbornness of J Mac and the lately Canadian Coates .i hope these religious businesses pretty soon pay taxes and then might say whatever they want but not right now.
@jimpodolski78712 жыл бұрын
So you’re a progressive Christian? The Bible or the word of God doesn’t change regardless of the times.

What is unction? I hardly know. But I know what it is not (or at least I know when it is not upon my own soul). Preaching without unction kills instead of giving life. The unctionless preacher is a savor of death unto death. The Word does not live unless the unction is upon the preacher. unction. Brethren, we could well manage to be half as intellectual (of the modern pseudo kind) if we were twice as spiritual. Preaching is a spiritual business. A sermon born in the head reaches the head; a sermon born in the Heart💗 reaches the Heart.🎯 Under God, a spiritual preacher will produce spiritually minded people. Unction is not a gentle dove beating her wings against the bars outside of the preacher’s soul; rather, she must be pursued and won. Unction cannot be learned, only earned-by prayer. Unction is God’s knighthood for the soldier-preacher who has wrestled in prayer and gained the victory. Victory is not won in the pulpit by firing intellectual bullets or wisecracks, [but in the prayer closet; ] It is won or lost before the preacher’s foot enters the pulpit. UNCTION is like dynamite. UNCTION comes not by the medium of the bishop’s hands, neither does it mildew when the preacher is cast into prison. UNCTION will pierce and percolate; IT will sweeten and soften. When the hammer of logic and the fire of human zeal fail to open the stony heart, UNCTION will succeed. amen Wow-Selah Away with this powerless preaching which is unmoving because it was born in a tomb instead of a womb, and nourished in a fireless, (prayerless soul.) We may preach and perish, but we cannot *pray and perish. If God called us to the ministry, then, dear brethren, I contend that we should get Unctionized. With all thy getting-get UNCTION, lest barren altars be the badge of our unctionless intellectualism!! Selah Hudson Taylor said the prayer power has never been tried to its fullest capacity, if we want to see Mighty wonders of divine power and Grace wrought in the place of weakness, failure, and disappointment, let us answer Gods standing challenge ------- Jeremiah 33 :3 call unto me and I will answer thee and show the Great and Mighty things which thou noest not. Prayer
