I really like the art of this TCG, compared to many other kickstarter TCGs they put a lot more effort into the artwork Unfortunately I was too late for the kickstarter and now I can't really afford to buy into another card game, but thanks for sharing 🙏

They dont even have a how to play on youtube from what i can see. Just a quick start guide and then gameplay. Theres some really big red flags with this one. Looks amazing at least.

@@RedZoneRogue Okay glad it wasnt just me.. there's an old fan made how to play that at least gives you a rough idea. Though it is missing some details. If you ever get a dev response on why this game has so little info easily accesible to the public, I'd love to see a follow up vid. Game has cool stuff going for it.

@@quickestturtlez5362 I wrote this in the Rogue's Gallery Discord as I was trying to decipher the rules: I'm reading the rules right now and there's a few messy things like the "2024" rules indicate that you start at 1500 hp while the comprehensive rules last updated in 2023 (as well as the official quick start video) indicate that you start at 2000 hp the "2024" rules also mention that you have to pay "soul orbs" for characters but never tells you how, when and how many you need to do this. I had to go look at the (clearly outdated) comprehensive rules " Characters are the stars of battle, ranging from level 0-3. The higher the level, the higher the costs to play onto the map. " This is all it says in the "2024" rules about playing characters and paying for thier costs. It doesnt say how you pay for them, how much you pay for them, when you pay for them or anything else. It's a little jank lol

@@RedZoneRogue Yeah thats just not acceptable. From what Ive found, the level is what determines cost. At level 0 you can just throw as much as you want on the board as long as you have the zones. Level 1 requires 1 orb of specificed color, level 2 requires 2. You get orbs through effects or by winning combat it seems.. This game definitely seems to be on the complex side given the number of zones and amount of cards you can play in a turn. The lack of clarification does not inspire confidence.

Whatever they made from the kickstarter is it, from my understanding. I don't know how they are going to be able to get this to lgs and have organized anything if you can't buy they cards due to a limited run. They already have a new set that you could pre order.

I like that all the cards look super premium. As much as I like full art on cards I dont like it with small print, ex I cant play Force of Will unless I have glasses because the print is small. Bonus: my favorite card is all the foils because they just hit harder.

My biggest question is are they gonna do Webcam events? Cause what is killing these newer tcgs for alot of us is their refusal to do Webcam events. Primal is like the only one who does tons of Webcam stuff

It's my understanding that they are doing webcam events. I believe a lot of it is happening/planned to happen on their Discord server.

@alkalinetrio759 that's the worst excuse in history. Cheaters are gonna cheat rather it's Webcam or not. Alot of ppl can only play events via Webcam. I have played several Webcam events and have never encountered a cheater

If you need to pick one between grand archive and this.. Which one and why? Please formulate your opinion from competitive gameplay. I know it's too early but I need to ask.

Grand Archive and it's not close. GA has a robust competetive circuit with big cash prizes and beautiful cards. Thier Worlds that I did casting at was one of the best tcg events that I've been to in recent memory. They have a stable release schedule, is steadily growing and competetive events like Ascents sell out. Fabled Sagas seems interesting but they have a very long way to go.

Iteration isn't necessarily bad. Some of the best video games just iterate on already established formulae and add thier own thing - just look at Elden Ring or Bloodborne. It's all in the execution

@@codenamexelda Its a sad truth that if your game is too gimicky or different, people wont want to play it or may have a hard time understanding it. TCGs these days need to be something you can pick up and learn in under an hour. And it really helps to take certain aspects from other games.

@@RedZoneRogue Haha for sure, I already play FaB, Yugi, MTG (just 2~3 EDH deck but next year I'm going hard on the FF cross over) and I'm trying to put together a small group to play GA (we're 2 at the moment). Altered, Star Wars, One Piece and Lorcana take up a huge place in my local environment in addition to MTG and Yugi which makes it difficult to have space to play other TCGs in regional LGS's. We are already fighting to maintain a FaB community, it's such a shame not to be able to give these TCGs a chance... I don't know if you're going to the FaB world championships but I hope to see you there and thank you again for all these great videos 👍
