Thanks for the review. I have been flying with air Arabia maybe since 2004 (almost 20 yeaes) for hundreds of times. I was Never disappointed. Air Arabia has other hubs in Morocco, Egypt and maybe Jordan. Sabiha airport has sleeping cubicles which was reasonably priced.

I call Air Arabia a "clutch airline", I fly from Dubai to Beirut since 2001 80% of the time on Emirates but whenever Emirates is fully booked or excessively expensive, I always go for Arabia. It's extremely comfortable in terms of legroom and cushioning (at par with Emirates IMO), no bullshit, no huge lines, good and professional service, I would 100% recommend them over FlyDubai if you're looking for a cheaper alternative than Emirates or Etihad. Specifically to Beirut, as it mostly lands alone with no other flights landing at the same time. Only 3 downsides are the lack of infotainment (which isn't a huge issue if you have Netflix on your phone), no power plugs, and the fact that Sharjah/Abu Dhabi airports are far from Dubai.

I think Air Arabia is an excellent low cost budget airline. The fact that it offers Wifi, Live Streaming entertainment and meals for purchase means that it can be an extremely enjoyable airline to fly with. I think it compares extremely well with other low cost airlines !

Meals are cheap too

I have flown AIR ARABIA several times. I think they are an excellent low cost carrier. They are incomparable to RYANAIR, EASYJET, WIZZ etc. They are a cut-above most other low cost carriers.

I have Air Arabia coming up this week. Almaty to Sharjah 5h30m, 2h30h at airport then 6h25m to Bangkok. Not the most direct but the timing and price is good. I'm now a believer in 2x midhaul flights in place of a body-aching long haul. Price is often advantageous too.

You can buy lounge access at Sharjah. I find it well worth it if your transit is more than an hour or two.

@@dasnolonger Yes indeed, I used their lounge. It was pretty small and busy but nice to sit with a gin and tonic.

I had a terrible experience flying from Kenya to Amman via Sharjah. I was charged $120 for just 6 kg of excess baggage, which felt unreasonable. Additionally, two of my suitcases were damaged-the wheels broke during transit. When I reached out for reimbursement and provided pictures and evidence, my request was denied because I didn’t file a report at the airport with their representative. giving the fact, I could not find there representative in the airport. After I filed a report, they got back to me after a month with reject. Overall, the customer service was very disappointing, and I expected better support from the airline. Dont advise to travel with Air arabia, I ended up paying more than flying with Emarite airline or Qatar airline

I’m flying to Morocco next week, and they don’t even allow cabin bags on the plane. I’m forced to only bring a small personal bag. I never travel with checked in bags. The phone number on their website does not exist, and the chat is just a bot

You’re allowed to get a checked in bag if you buy the better ticket, or if you pay at check in.

I wonder whether they check thru bags. I have a 2 leg journey with them next week and they're welcome to handle my cabin bag if they don't want it in the cabin.

Can you eat your own food though? Like a sandwich bought in airport The streaming + reasonable price onboard put it way above most LCC. Norse is charging US$30 for meal I think

I thought they offered 81” - which would be extraordinary Legroom even for a legacy carrier…how much did this (old looking) airbus actually offer?

For $115, this flight was a bargain. No beer with your lunch only means you can have two when you land.

I have 10 hours to kill on a stopover at SAW next month. I have a Revolut (Dragon?) lounge pass. I understand there are 3 lounges, so I guess I'm going to find out whether I'm able to use them all on the same layover. Does anyone know? It's as much to do with the wifi as anything else. I'm on Pegasus for both legs. They're fine. I don't expect luxury for the prices I pay.

Was the carry-on baggage size checked, and if so, how was it done? My backpack fits within their maximum dimensions, but when I fill it with clothes, it becomes about 3-4 cm thicker. I'm really worried that this might cause an issue :(

From UAE to Bangladesh flight by Air Arabia very annoying cause of they only Allow luggage without cartorn, Per luggage is about 4 kg nearest. If 2 luggage i take they are about 8 kg & this prices also 200 dhs over, What a nonsense system! We can't take our goods by delightful & aspecting. For this problem thousands of expatriates are not interested travelling by Air Arabia, I think if this problem will be solved Air Arabia is The best service & delightful travel.

Same when I flew Pegasus, a low cost airline in Turkey that I never heard until I flew from Zurich to Istanbul (SAW) almost 2 weeks ago, flight is good and okay, they have wifi for streaming entertainment and TV on your phone and tablet, but can't access the internet.
