I was thinking that may be junichiro found naomi alone, and actually tried to protect her like a brother and later they joined the agency and junichiro decided to look for naomi's family without letting anybody know may be bcs the detective agency is not allowed to use the resources for personal use and junichiro may be found smth quite serious. May be he couldn't tell him but suddenly the hostage situation happened and as we all know everything has not been the same. I also have seen some people theorising that naomi is another akutagawa sibling (bcs she looks similar to them) but that wouldn't really make sense if we compare the real life counter parts and their stories, but it would if it was just a regular fictional story. Anyways I can't wait for the real truth to come forward

Hi bsd fanatic here 2:30 - 2:45 you said we haven’t seen Junichiro use light snow on only one person to change there perception of something. In bsd vol 6 ch 24 page 127-131 during the guild arc Junichiro used light snow on a passing driver to make it look like the forest where Steinbeck and HP lovecraft are standing is the road, Junichiro is using light snow on the driver no one else, which means it is possible to use light snow on one person and have no one else effected. Just a little note that in my opinion makes your theory a little stronger. Btw love your bsd vids, please make more theory’s in the future their awesome!

This has been a theory for a LONG time but I think it’s time I bring it up. There’s a chance Naomi is a akutagawa sibling. Her and Gin look almost identical, she has the same mole as Akutagawa and the irl akutagawa had 2 sisters. This part may be a stretch but there is chance Akutagawa and Tanazaki are working together in a way, maybe there is something in exchange for tanazaki to look after Naomi in the armed detective agency which would be the safest place for her. Something that further proves this, the real life Akutagawa and Tanazaki were friends. There is probably more on this i haven’t noticed but uh yeah

It’s probably possible that Naomi knows Junichiro is lying to her about her family because of how smart she could be and even the book ‘Naomi’ in real life but it’s a 50% chance that she didn’t know because of asagiri changing characters genders and characters relationships and probably make Naomi not know about her family or knows about her family so we’ll have see for ourselves in a future chapter (Edit: I got so happy that I heard Naomi and Junichiro were not actual siblings)

I remember reading the chapter in between classes with my friend at school, and I just imploded when the reveal happened lol. I stand by what I said then, that 'they're not really siblings' doesn't mean the whole incest baiting beforehand was OK. Still, I think your analysis and theories are great, and I really hope one of them turns out to be true. I'm kind of annoyed in the recent chapters, it feels to me like Asagiri kind of struggles with writing super-genius characters, and it doesn't help that he has so many of them. I honestly find Fyodor's apparent 'plan' to be full of holes and weaknesses, and that the events currently going on in the manga were not planned out well enough. That being said, the Tanizaki siblings mystery seems like it was planned from the beginning and I hope that the actual turnout is something like your theories, with actual good reasoning, rather than some wacky hijinks, like when Ranpo solves a case

I knew they weren’t siblings since I got into this fandom, like they’re not similar at all meanwhile all siblings in bsd are similar to each other, also someone said that in the irl junichiro’s book it seems like his book that was titled Naomi told a story about forbidden love between a couple because of some reason idk bcs I don’t read it so this might be wrong, so they disguise themselves as siblings. I like that theory tho (Tbh I like the tanizaki siblings, unlike most people out there, idk I think they’re both interesting as a person and since the beginning of the anime release I never focus on the incest (which is proven not true) or something tho, I think I ignored it. Well, if you ignore the ‘incest’ part, I think they’re interesting, for me at least. I also like Naomi tbh, and Tanizaki as well
