I have a lot of thoughts on them actually and I'm considering making a video about this, but in short: - I think people are demonstrating because they simply want something to demonstrate about - they don't understand the ins and outs of the fragile situation in Isreal that has been occurring over the last 40-50 years. - I think ultimately the protestors want to rid the world of Isreal, which is exactly what they mean when they say 'Free Palestine from the river to the sea.' - And ultimately I don't think they're Anti-Zionist as they claim, I in fact think they're Anti-semitic. - I think the right to free speech is an incredible thing that should not be infringed. But... we must remember that the limit comes at either causing panic or inciting violence. The phrase 'Free Palestine from the river to the Sea' that has been chanted essentially calls for the forced removal of Jews from the region. I'll add to that by saying that if Isreal stopped fighting back, Hamas would most certainly move into Isreal in a violent manner. - Finally, the protestors are not supporting the Palestinians. If they were, they would be calling for the destruction of Hamas. They're in fact in support of Hamas (a terrorist organisation).

Wow. Thanks for your incredibly quick and detailed response. Of the 5 points you make, the last four I agree with, but the first I'm not so sure of. What compels someone, week after week, to join a demonstration chanting genocidal slogans in support of the perpetrators of the Oct. 7 massacre? I find the idea that they're simply looking for something interesting to do on a weekend a tough pill to swallow. Especially with the frenzied, violent energy on display and the disrespect shown to monuments and observances dear to the vast majority of British citizens (if genocide isn't enough of a reason for one to consider not attending). The slogan "from the river to the sea", mentioned in your fourth point, is, after all, referring to a specific kind of removal. Relocation doesn't come into it. @@mikeyreacts234
