The reason why the demon lord can be season 1 is just that there are bigger challenges ahead for Yumiella and Patrick. The other novels focus on things after graduation and get pretty wild in what they throw at our new couple.

Hoping that they can get a Season 2. The fact that they likely took a hit due to using a lot of CGI, and I’m worried that this may prevent the next season.

They did kiss. Basically he said he couldn't see, but she knows he can, because he found her lips without issue lol. In the book and the manga they do have a couple more moments leading to this so it feel less rushed. As for the son thing, in her brain she's thinking, if something happens and I need to leave, he can take over. And the easiest way for that to happen would be the adoption thing. It's still dense and played for the gag, but it's to set up the kiss moment there as him finally just saying it. By the way this whole season is just the first book, so in one book Patrick got through the whole dumb anime protag romance arc everyone forces on us for years on end lol.

Yumiella has significant amounts of dense protagonist anti-romance vibes. She finds it hard to believe anyone could be interested in her romantically.

Everyone hating on Patrick for choosing someone like Yumiella when he loves to go after that which he deems out of his league. No wrong in that at all. She's just a very, very .... etc hard catch lol. But this was a huge step forward. The kiss. The confession from Yumiella in her way. Omg so adorable with fireworks. Faking her loss and then knowing he knew was so great lmao.

Honestly one of the better romances in the otome genre. In my opinion. Since its based on mutual respect and seeing the other person for who they are, not what you want to mold them into or what they pretend to be. Its ironically very mature.

@@galonski64 exactly. Its a muture progression from classmate, to aquaintance to friends to romantic partners. Not a fantastical love from first sight or fawning/simping. Love grows like a flower, it needs to be watered and cared for. It wont just fall from the sky. They enjoy each others company, spend time together, talk, care for eachothers wellbeing, talk their hearts out and finnaly kiss.

The kiss scene played just as the novel, it was confusing on purpose, the next novel focuses more on Yumiela's and Patrick's relationship. The anime only adapted the first volume.

Having seen her parents, it's a very good thing Yumiella was not raised/abused by them. She probably would've become the hidden boss.

Althou i was hoping to see Yumiella take righthous vengence. The fact she didnt is supposed to make a point, that despite what everyone persieves her as, she's actually the most human person most of the time.

Yes, alot happened this episode but the books are written that way. Infact, the series only covered book 1 so it ends with the fight against the Demon Lord.
@joetune19459 ай бұрын
As for why the 'rents felt that Yumiellia had betrayed them, they saw the military buildup that the King was making in preparation for the Demon Lord and assumed it was for the Anti-King faction. And they heard that Prince Edwin was hanging around Yumiellia (clearly, they misheard HARANGUEING as HANGING) a lot, and it all went downhill from there. Also, Patrick is not in the SONZONE. H e is not in the FRIENDZONE. He is in the SIGNIFICANT OTHER ZONE. He confessed. They kissed 💋 (with tongue), and now Patrick goes to kill mooks while Yumie, Edwin, and the other three rush out to confront their destiny.

It is all kinds of ridiculous and childish how anime and manga constantly try to make out unindustrious people as evil and people who have lots of ability as good. First of all, you don't become someone with lots of ability by facing hardship. You become someone with lots of ability by having been born with these abilities and by finding ways to develop them. And if you are born with these abilities you are enabled to overcome hardships. If you are not born with lots of abilities and you face hardschips YOU DIE. Whether slowly or quickly. In any case, most people who have lots of abilities are arrogant and think their worldview is the only correct one (the creators of mangas and animes come to mind). In the real world, these are the people who are evil. In the real world, people who are unindustrious are kind and consider the feelings and wellbeing of other people. Unindustrious people tend to question themselves (unlike talented people) and they don't sacrifice weaker people to their ambitions. Nobles or any other wealthy person who pays a person with more expertise and talent in a particular area to manage that particular aspect of their estate are not unindustrious. They are responsible. The entire concept of "living in the captial away from home nobles" or whatever this series calls them is ridiculous. It is important for a wealthy person to be close to other influential people to ensure the prosperity of their estates. Most influential people are in the capital of any centralized nation.
@Compucles7 ай бұрын
There's a major difference between being unambitious (not unindustrious, which isn't even a word) and just being lazy and apathetic like Yumiella's parents are. They have no actual roles in the capital and just use portions of the tax money they get from doing no work in their territories to party all the time. Meanwhile, Yumiella herself was someone who was born with talent and then worked hard to develop that talent. However, just because you do become powerful does not necessarily mean you become absorbed with it. Many people who develop strong abilities remain quite humble in everyday life. As for nobles ignoring their territory responsibilities, that defeats the entire point of the Feudal System these stories portray! It would defeat the purpose of having nobility in the first place save for the few that actually do have central government positions! Yes, the Feudal System was heavily flawed, but if it's going to be used in a fictional setting, then the good nobles are the ones who practice "nobleese oblige" and take their responsibilities seriously.
