Well Seungri happened. YG happened. YG really handled it the worst way possible. He stuck around long enough to crop that pic and write "I love my band. I love my fans". He started distancing himself from YG as soon as his contract was done. Since GD was the last one to leave YG and it was rumored, Yang hyun suk, was the one who tried to keep him around the most, then TOP MIGHT have had a disagreement with GD concerning how YG wanted to manage their activities/ brand as a group. Also, Yang Hyun Suk was involved in that case with Han Seo hee till 2023, might be related to that.

I didnt knew he tried to unalive himself, i found it out with this video. Im actually really knew to "K-pop" or more specifically, in "Bigbang" so i did a lot of researchers about it and i later found out that he wasnt a bigbang member anymore. Anyway, i sent him a message on IG, saying that he make me happy, not only with the music, but even watching him as a actor, i told him that I'm proud of him. And now that ik he tried to unalive himself, I'm proud of myself for texting him something good, and not questions about bigbang and some scandals i heard on media, that i didn't even believe it at first. He has tried unaliving more than once..to my knowledge at least 3x He wasn’t doing well, even when he signed again for Alive he wasn’t sure he wanted to, I feel like the members promised to be 5 until the end but Seungri obviously broke that promise meaning the rest were free to choose. I can only imagine how TOP feels. He was the oldest Hyeong, and with that lies a huge responsibility. As much as they all tried to warn Seungri I am sure TOP feels the most responsible in some way for his downfall. Things may have been said behind the scenes and feelings got hurt. GD probably felt the worst about Seungri. He really tried the most with that guy. Diplomacy, giving him the best parts in the MADE album, screaming at him for that birthday party they weren't invited to (good for them for not being there). TOP at some point either was glaring at Seungri or throwing shade. As a fan, GD and TOP Imo, are the most affected by the hate and might have fought. It's a shame for the fans but maybe it's better for them.

Senguri's decisions not only effected him but the entire group and the trajectory of their careers and the financial aspects they depended on from BigBang. They could have continued on made great music and still packed arenas. It wouldn't be the same for them without Seungri. They tried with "Still Life" but it was probably too soon and the wounds still fresh. I am sure there are hurt feelings, blame, and most of all grief. They are hurting, It's best they take a break, live their lives and heal. So they're "fine" but can't deny it's a huge burden to get over and besides Taeyang and Daesung, it doesn't look like they actually want careers anymore. It feels like they're just keeping busy. Taeyang is trying to rebuild their reputation but it's barely working. Still Life was a goodbye song. To me and many it was perfect. No chorus, very empty, comes full circle and not Kpop. It shows the lost potential and sounds almost hollow, as intended. It's not meant really to console but just to give closure. I don't think they wanted to come back after coachella was cancelled and TOP decided not to renew. Very sad but at least they closed the chapter on their own terms. I rewatched the 2005 docu a few weeks ago and Seungri will remain YG's worst choice. And about GD and TOP, well, good luck to them. I support both regardless. TOP really deserves a lot of love and GD had it quite hard too.

Big Bang was my favourite Kpop boyband when I was in high school, they and Shinee introduced me to Kpop. I think Seunghyun just needs time. His situation reminds me of Zayn and One Direction. It wasn't until 9 years after he left that he was able to perform solo due to his anxiety and eating disorder issues. He was so scared that he cancelled performances many times. It's only now that he seems comfortable enough to even mention the band and perform. Time heals wounds, and I think it will be the same with T.O.P. Plus, I'm sure the guys from Big Bang have contact with him; they just don't need to talk about it publicly since they keep getting negative comments and being dragged into weird situations.

OMG! I had the same thought but kinda hesitant to comment given the history of both fandoms. When T.O.P. was at the hospital, it's one of the most stressful moment for me as a K-Pop fan. Like I keep checking for updates even at work. I was so worried and scared for him then. I know he's a very sensitive and complicated person, and bound to be misunderstood by many. He's the type who never hold back with his thoughts and craft, but I felt like being an idol really suppressed him. Looking back, and given his history with depression, I was not surpised he turned to marijuana, since it's anti-depressant. Not the healthiest option, I know, and I"m not excusing his behavior, but I do understand where he's coming from. Whether he decide to reconcile with BIGBANG in the future, I just want him to find peace healing and happiness. I'm rooting for Yoongi also, though this seems to be a deja vu. I'm quite scared for him, and I hope he has enough support system around him. ❤

I remember when I was one of the only people that was defending GD when the media and practically everyone had already convicted him and was bashing him and I’m not even a VIP..I’m a ONCE. I read so many ignorant comments directed at him. It’s sickening how quickly people will jump on and off different bandwagons. From everything that I’ve witnessed it’s always Knets. I remember commenting that GD didn’t need to smoke bcuz he had / has a brilliant and creative mind and knew he wouldn’t do anything to jeopardize that. GD is eccentric and drugs would just slow his creative process down thus being a waste of his time. No matter what, I stuck to my guns and I was right about him. We all need to remember that Idols are people too. They have feelings just like we do. Yes, sometimes they make mistakes but so do we. Idols get on KZbin just like us and so does their families and friends. They all read the supportive comments and they also read the horrible mean ignorant comments as well and sadly those are the ones that cut them to the bone. I feel like that people need to go easy on him. I feel like that TOPs response is somewhat giving feelings of how a triggered person from trauma may respond. And based on the response from GD it doesn’t look like he has given up on rekindling the friendship with TOP either. We do not know who is in the wrong here or what really happened. And yes as fans it’s sad and heartbreaking to see our favourite group having a fall out especially after so many hardships and years of being together, but we need to not speculate and let them be as well. Okay chronically online fan here to add some information which maybe helpful for context. As of atleast June T.O.P and GD do not seem to have each other blocked- because T.O.Ps likes on GDs posts are visible currently. Now apparently this in itself isnt a sign of blocking according to instagram. Because if you block someone or are blocked, their likes don't get restored when you unblock them. BIGBANG to this day is still glorified and respected. Once as five, then four, and now three. Their music will forever be remembered and hold a particular meaning and memory to all who grew up with it, fell in love with it, and became inspired by it. Im glad i managed to attend their concert once in my lifetime . It was a the best present I gave myself. As a long time BIGBANG fan, we VIP's have been through a tumultuous what feels like nearly a decade of a hiatus from the boys, but I think I can wholeheartedly say that as long as any VIP is concerned, we're happy and sad for TOP and his future. Happy that he's finding happiness in what he wants to do and accomplish, sad that he doesn't want to be apart of BIGBANG anymore, but he's an adult, damn well most of the base is also a bunch of ajushis and ajummas with kids now, so we get it too, life keeps on moving forward. If I went back in time, would I tell Seungri to not talk to those shady businessmen and be more humble like the rest of the band, not to do shady shit and join chats he shouldn't be in? Of course I would, would I tell GD what military life will do to him and to make sure he's ready for it, of course I would. Would I tell TOP to not get involved with HSH and just enjoy the company of his brothers and close friends? Of course I would. I would do all these things, but there's no point in regretting the past because all we have left is what is in front of us. They ruined T.O.P's life just because marijuana use (which is actually legal in some states of the USA) and harassed him so much that he tried to unalive himself by trying to overdose on his anxiety medication and knowing for a fact that he battles depression everyday and people still attack him on Instagram.
