Have you ever wondered about the Syrian Civil War? In this video, we’ll cover a brief overview and background, major factions, and key events.
The Syrian Civil War is a complex and ongoing conflict that began in 2011 as a popular uprising against the authoritarian government of President Bashar al-Assad. The conflict quickly escalated into a full-blown civil war, involving multiple factions and international actors. The war has resulted in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people, displacement of millions, and significant destruction of infrastructure and cities.

I'm happy to hear it from a Syrian journalist themselves. Thank you for watching. I try to remain as objective as possible in all my videos. With topics like this, it can be very difficult to do so.

People try to blame America and it's allies for situations like this but it seems like it's always the opposition that escalates to keep the people oppressed. So sad

The Kurdish forces have reached agreements with the Asad regime and are now fighting on the same side after Asad agreed to grant them autonomy after the war. The western coalition is also working parallel with the Syriam interim government who's recieving support from Turkey in order for the west to not Attack Turkey forces. All forces had an unofficial ceasefire during the Rise of ISIS in order to eliminate them from the region before they go back to attacking eachother

@@IllustratetoEducate the "rebels" carried out terrorist attacks, abductions and murders from day 1 of the "revolution". The old videos where they mock and torture their victims were of course quickly taken down by youtube, which does as it is told by the US govt. The islamists were and still are a useful tool for the US and their allies. You totally forgot to mention that "ISIS" and the "rebels" fought together and were allied, for years. Raqqa is an examle, Idlib too.

@DannyWolff-fq7eo
@DannyWolff-fq7eo Жыл бұрын
Semantics. Because Obama first called it ISIL as an alternative to Al-Baghadi's ISIS? Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham. Al-Sham being an arabic word for the region. Levant is just a French word for the region. ISIS have a huge problem with France. Daesh is probably more appropriate. But there is no "meant to say & write ISIL", any and all are fine.

@Lp-army1
@Lp-army1 11 күн бұрын
Islamists emphasize the implementation of sharia, pan-Islamic political unity, the creation of Islamic states (eventually unified), and rejection of non-Muslim (especially Western) influences. although pretty reasonable in their terms the way they get there is not as reasonable like with ISIS and the Iranian autocratic regime

@OK-yy6qz

That's pretty unlikely. Although the West didn't manage to get control of Syria they managed to weaken the regime enough militarily and virtually wipe out ISIS so they lost interest in taking control of the Region. Without western support the Rebels don't have much hope against a Russian backed regime
