What is hiding inside? Warn Vantage 2000 Winch

Maintenance on the Warn Vantange 2000 winch for Yamaha. Complete tear down, service and reassembly. This basic Warn winch will be very similar to thousands found on various ATV's.
A higher end sealed winch would hopefully fair better after one year of use.

Ross Martin well I’m glad you found it helpful. The bigger series winches have more planetary gears sets but same principle. Yep definitely take cable off first!!

Hey man, I know this is an old video but I’m having winch issues. My old winch locked up and I bought and installed a new one after determining that the old one was full of water lol. It still won’t work! Would the problem be the contractor box or a wire just worn through? Thanks!

Definitely could be, or possibly a problem with the solenoid. There is usually a fusible link on the power cable that could have popped or even a fuse

Well now i got my winch apart and i have no clue how to grease it... LMAO!!! J/k I don't even have a winch.. :)
