I hope that if she gets a Bankai, her experiences with Aizen and recovery from that trauma shape it into something that can directly counter Kyouka Suigetsu, maybe something akin to a gentle, insistent voice affirming the recipient's reality against Aizen's illusory gaslighting. EDIT: I really like Idea Number 6, possibly combined with idea number 2 so that its effect is more support-oriented so as to call back to all the support she's had to truly recover.

i always liked hinamori, and since the sword abilities are kinda always related to the personality i'd say a mixture between 1,2 and 3 for me. hinamori is always swayed by others pace of living and she is quite prone to anger and kinda reminds me of espada 0 (forgot the name) in the anime, not sure if intentional or not i kinda remember that her skill activates with a peculiar sound and the shape of the sword kinda reminds me of an instrument like the triangle that activates the explosion with vibrations and sound like an ignition as you said too it kinda reminds me of her personality too. so i'd say similar to your first bankai with the giant tree and branches but instead of a few fruits, i'd say many similar to your 3rd bankai; since it is named tobiume the spheres shed and fly from the tree and then similar to the 2nd bankai she can vibrate them from afar and make them explode. i hope you like it, funnily enough they were so similar to mine which i created a while ago ahah

The filler manifested spirits are our best way to guess at her power. In those filler Tobiume used bells to create sound that produces fireballs to launch at people. Her shikai itself also takes the form of a seven branched sword. ----------- So in my mind the Bankai causes Hinamori to look like her spirit, and like her spirit she has a scarf with bells on it she can rapidly fire fireballs from. However the main focus of her bankai is a large tree that appears behind her, with a huge bell hanging from it. From this tree grow multiple large plums of reiatsu. Each plum can ring like a bell, sending soundwaves through the area. These soundwaves effectively give her a radar like sense, letting her know where anything in her bankai's range is located. At a command, Hinamori can choose to sacrifice the ringing plum, causing it to burst. When it does she can cause a huge explosion at a location of her choice within her bankai's range. The downside is that there's a limit to the number of plums on her tree, and obviously if she's out of plums, she loses the radar effect as well. So it requires strategy and patience to use the huge powerful explosions of the plums effectively. She also no longer has a blade in this form, meaning that she's vulnerable in melee, having only the shikai level fireballs of her scarf to rely on. Also it's a tree, so if people move out of range, it obviously can't harm them. Once the tree is out of plums it slowly withers, until it looks like her shikai (tree with seven branches) before ending. ---- Originally I posted this with a large bell in the tree instead of plums, but I think the plum idea is a lot more thematic, and was absolutely inspired by the ideas in this video. Also the soundwave radar effect is inspired by her trauma with Aizen. Perhaps Absolute Hypnosis could override the radar effect, but I like to think Aizen wouldn't know to counter it at first, so in theory she could burst all her plums at once, trying to take Aizen out in a single devastating attack. Growth wise she could grow more fruit, larger fruit, or perhaps over time learn to regrow plums on the tree if the fight goes long enough.

@MrTommo2304 you know what? Hinamori is actually one of my favorite character in Bleach series. Her personality is nice and pleasant, and I really like fire type zanpakuto. Is just her showtime is way too short as she doesn't have many spotlight moments, and as you shared before, her shikai doesn't distinguish much from normal shakkaho, such a shame. And I always wonder how her bankai would be all the time. Thanks for doing this and all these bankai ideas are brilliant and useful. I prefer first, second, third and last bankai ideas, but the last one is honestly pretty sick and handy, because if this is true, we found a character who can finally counter both aizen and literally shinji's bankai. Keep up the great work of yours!

Personally, with Tobiume, I get the feeling that Hinamori wasn't using it properly. She has a Kido affinity, and I think her Zanpakutou would reflect that, so Tobiume launching fireballs feels like Hinamori is trying to brute-force her way through the battles. Her first release against Kira, she was heavily traumatized by Aizen's fresh (supposed) corpse, so of course her judgment would be heavily clouded, leading her to try make rash decisions. The most effective use of Tobiume that I've seen was when she used it in conjunction with her Kido net in Fake Karakura, so I'm leaning more towards the Zanpakutou being one that augments her own Kido but hampered by her incorrect use of it, kinda like Ikkaku's Hozukimaru. So with that, one Bankai idea I have focuses on augmenting her Kido ability. To activate this, Hinamori would position the sword as if she's going to thrust it into her own stomach. The Shikai would sprout its usual pink flames, but as Hinamori declares "Bankai" and thrusts her sword inward, the flaming blade would, instead of piercing her, expand to engulf her entire body (sans her head) in pink flame (a la Ichigo's incomplete clad-Fullbring except pink instead of black). But additionally, on either side of her head, two heads of flame would appear (with dark pink flames to serve as the mouth and eye areas. Similar to Byakuya's Bankai, Hinamori no longer has her sword hilt. Ability wise: if Hinamori would need to brute-force something with fireballs, she (and the other flaming heads) could essentially spit Fireballs from her mouths. But the real strength of this Bankai would lie in synergising with Hinamori's Kido ability: the two other heads act semi-autonomously, and if Hinamori intends to use a Kido spell, one of the flaming heads will incant the spell. These heads will also be able to amplify Hinamori's concentration, and therefore, her ability to combine Kido. In this way, for instance, were she to intend to create another Kido net (which consists of Hado 31 'Red Flame Cannon', Hado 12 'Concealing Fire' and Bakudo 26 'Bending Light' over a reiatsu net), she would be able to create it much quicker and in higher-stress situations, as a lot of the concentration and legwork is being done by the two flaming heads. I imagine that if she were to try this in the Fake Karakura Arc against the Tres Bestias, while she would still need to keep her distance, she could potentially weave another Kido net and damage her opponents again even though they're aware of her presence. The flame cloak of her Bankai would not be able to set anything alight or detonate her Kido unless she wills otherwise Am thinking that, as Hinamori gains more experience with this Bankai, she may gain extra flaming heads (up to a maximum of four extra), so that will add to the increased Kido ability granted to her by this Bankai.

The flaming head idea and flame like clad Bankai is a bit reminiscent of Toshiro’s Bankai. While his Bankai reaches perfection upon all the petals disappearing, hinamori would does the same when the number of flame heads increase.

The release command of "Snap" isn't perfectly adapted. It's supposed to be something more like "pop" or "crackle". It's something bursting from the inside. It's interesting to contrast the meaning of the name of the zampakutou with the personality and character arc of the shinigami. Since the plum is the predecessor of the cherry as a symbol of nobility and purity in japanese culture, it can be expected that whatever it is might make her feel as regal or important as either Rukia or Byakuya. The plum itself is believed to ward off misfortune and evil, which is ironic all things consider. But it also is a symbol of new beginnings since it blooms right at the tail end of winter. Being pure and struggling to have a new beginning does describe Hinamori to the point, so I think what she lacks that would be substantial would be the 'lucky' and 'warding' aspects of the plum. If I had to take a guess on what how it likely would play off in combat it would play into using both user's reiatsu to grow, at first forming a shield around Hinamori, but after enough energy is taken it would explode towards the side that is "evil" and completely protect Hinamori. The downside being that it wouldn't work against enemies that were more righteous than her, but at least providing improved defense in the meanwhile. It's poetic in the sense of her going off after taking enough abuse. Another method would be to attach seeds into the opponent, that sap them of strenght and pop after enough energy is sucked, which seems like a good enough balance between kidou, her shikai, and wouldn't feel too different from Senbonzakura, the other noble tree themed sword we have, where "the same but a lot more" is the effect of the Bankai.

I was gonna make a similar remark about the symbolism of the plum!But my idea was more centered around the theme of renewal. Imagine if her Bankai allowed her to reignite anything that was either touched by Tobiume or one of its fireballs! Each strike or fireball working as a sort of seed. We could add levels to this: at first she needs to plant these in Shikai to reignite them at will, for as long as her spirit energy allows, in Bankai. Later she could plant them in Bankai too. Though the fun begins when she finally masters her Bankai, with her complete powers allowing her to put her kido skill into full use to reignite each seed with any spell she wants. A seed planted directly into an enemy would mean a point blank shot of whatever spell she could cast. The battlefield, struck by her many “missed” shots could become points for surprise attacks and even traps, a literal mine field. This would add to the teme of renewal, give the idea of tree branches, and stay within her wheelhouse of dealing with kido spells. The design of the Bankai itself could even forego the sword completely, giving her something akin to gardening gloves that amplify her kido output, or some other kind of visual element that match the theme, perhaps altering her clothes to a fancy kimono.

I imagened it as a combination of a number of forms you suggested but evolving/growing with time. Starting out as a sapling whos roots spread out and anything that gets ensnaring is engulfed in flames. After the tree has grown it flowers and the petals spready out and explode at will or on cantact with an enemy. 3rd the tree fruits and Hinamori can absorbe the fruit to enrobe herself in pink flames (maybe in the form of priestes/miko) boosting her offensive abilities, finally the tree sheds its leaves covering the surroundings in flames but not explosions. For visuals maybe the free is surrounded by a shemenawa covered in shide.

Here’s an idea based on how much Aizen screw with her: she releases a flurry of petals alas Byakuya. As the petals clear, there are multiple Hinamori. These are pyro illusions. Coming into contact with them will blow themselves up similar to a super ghost from Dragon Ball Z. They have certain tells though that are meant to distinguish the real Hinamori for her allies, foretelling her hope that the only people who can get close to her are those that care for her. If you want some dark humor, she can treat herself like an illusion to explode upon contact and then hide among the illusions, as though her pain didn’t exist

I always thought Tobiume worked like an enhancer of Kido like a booster , so that fireball is really an enhanced Hado 31. So the old idea I had is similar to your second where she loses the blade but a giant version grows, out of the ground when activated it puts out a high pitch hum like tuning fork, and now all her Kido abilities are strongly enhanced and what's also a plus is that she can enhance the kido abilities of other, here the tip off though it's really an illusory debuff via the sound kinda like Rose's bankai, the reason it does so much extra damage is an unbreakable illusion, with her taking a page from Aizen. I like the last idea of yours but I had that idea for Kisuke, in preparation to take on Aizen as one of his devices.

Great video, I always like hearing more about lieutenants. After Ichigo's battle with Ikkaku, I still like to think lieutenants are relevant. I've always liked how Momo incorporated her shikai with kido. It's a form that is really under utilized and forces a strange separation between the shinigami of the gotei 13 and the kido corps. After the reveal of the blade is me, it is easier to pin a bankai's ability with the core themes Kubo gives the characters (Byakuya's pride being reflected in Hakuteiken, etc). Momo has always been very proficient in kido and is often praised for it throughout the source material. The biggest recurring themes from Momo are her proficiency in kido and her attachment to Aizen, one of the absolute best practitioners of kido as displayed in TBTP. A thought I've had for her Bankai is that when she releases it, nothing happens. Instead, every single kido that Momo uses is infused with a form of Tobiume, the power and impact scaling with the level of kido. After reciting the chant of a kido, Hinamori disregards the kido # and name, instead replacing it with her Zanpakuto release. Using Sajo Sabaku, for example would wrap around a target and fireballs would begin to sprout across the bakudo until it explodes, much like Hiasobi Benihime Juzutsunagi. After her experience with Aizen, Momo still deep down tries to be involved in Aizen's world, desperately seeking to see things from his perspective by increasing her power in Kido to become closer to him. If Momo were to train for long enough, she could infuse hado #90 with her bankai, creating a space with such destructive fire energy that it would make Yamamoto blush. She could even have a final getsuga tenshou like ability. As a last ditch effort, Momo can use Hado #96 Itto kaso using her bankai as the catalyst, forever breaking it and creating an immense pillar of pink flame that vaporizes everything inside, the ash from the fallout turning a pinkish hue, floating down resembling leaves of a plum tree.

First of all, all ideas are truly great and dope af!!! Like WOW!! I reignited my love for Bleach just recently and started to create an OC for the fun of it, and I'm struggling to come with ideas for ONE bankai, and Tommo came with SIX!! And they're so cool!! Really impressive work! All ideas are great and creative, I can't choose a favorite! I just met your channel, and I'm invested! I needed a good Bleach focused place, and your channel is just *chef kiss* But if I need to point a detail about your initial analysis about shikai (and bankai), it's that they're both inspired by the shinigami themselves. I wanted to give a good example, but I'm writing in my phone, and I hate to because to autocorrect hates me (I can explain later if you want me to). But the idea 3 fits Momo really well, in my opinion. Momo can be really explosive (pun not intended) and also frail, so a bankai that can cause such destruction easily feels perfect for her. my idea isn't for a Bankai. but rather, a completed Shikai. as well as some techniques she could use in addition to the ones she already does with Tobiume. in it, Tobiume extends by about double the length. four more prongs jutting out, in reference to the "Seven Branched Tree" you talked about at the beginning. each prong ignites with what appears to be a small pink flame, but with the release command "Set alight, first blossom", the flame detaches from the prong. growing into a massive fire ball. she can then activate the next one if necessary "Set alight, second blossom". each successive fire ball more explosive, more potent than the last. alternatively, she can fire all seven at once with the command "Set alight, all blossoms!" she can also point the tip of Tobiume at her opponent. with the release command "Engulf and incinerate, Tobiume!" a massive torrent of pink fire shoots out. but the fire doesn't immediately burn her target. instead becoming a wave of sparks, exploding rapidly around her target. disorientating them. i also think it would be cool if she and Shinji worked together to create tag-team strategies. perhaps Shinji could expose her to his Shikai everyday, to get her used to its effects. then whenever they're in combat together, he could use it and she would be the one taking the offensive against their opponent. she also wouldn't bother explaining what's going on to them. meanwhile Shinji would stand back and watch. getting a few hits in himself. the two of them teaming up together against someone would be quite the force to be reckon with, while Sakanade is active.

Just going to add that the Chinese Yin-Yang Five Elements has the 'Wood' element creating the 'Fire' element, with wood representing 'new yang' (like the potential of a budding seed) and fire representing 'full yang'. That her activation command is 'snap/pop' falls in line with such a transition. Japanese plum trees firtst bloom flowers in early spring (wood element) and bear fruit in the summer (fire element). Plums are also fruit, a method of seed propogation plants have developed to work in a symbiotic way with animals. Lots to work with!

I really like the point you made about "ignition" when talking about her using tobiume to ignite the kido cage. Truthfully I think "ignition" is Tobiumes true ability, that the blade itself with its pink reiatsu can transfer that ignition to other things by striking at them. The fire balls that it launches kinda being a byproduct of swinging it through open air and igniting the oxygen around her. Also the Seven Branch Sword is described as being a gift, or as something given, so for a blade to give things the spark of ignition would be a fun way to twist that around. Firstly, I agree with the observation of it being ignition, not just fire. I'll take a crack at it myself, if you don't mind. Her shikai is about branches bearing fruit. Maybe the next step is seeds growing into trees? Instead of igniting something, she places a seed that acts as a trigger. The longer she waits to blow up any one seed, the larger the resulting explosion. While it does not bypass durability like E the Explode, it would allow her to fully control when it happens. Meaning everything can become a minefield and once she has someone in a doomed position, she can chose to seal her zanpakto to remove the bomb, meaning she can hostage someone to negotiate their surrender. Bonus points: the explosions result in mushroom clouds that look like massive trees.

Looking at your theories for her bankai got me brainstorming other ideas throughout the video. My final idea for her bankai is based on me thinking about the filler arc where she encounters her spirit, another reason why her zanpakuto would think she is holding her back. One may be her fearing her shikai getting too destructive, hitting not only her target but her beloved allies as well, we also see how she would fiercely protect people like she does for Aizen. So I imagine her bankai maybe changing her zanpakuto to look more like a staff and creating around her a pink storm of blossoms that spark, combust, and burn all enemies inside but only feel warm to her allies. A hellscape to her enemies but a beautiful scene to her allies. I don’t know how the range would be but maybe about the size of Tosen’s bankai. Her bankai weapon will always be the source and centre of the plum storm so it moves wherever she does.

I have a cool bankai idea for her: Basically taking inspiration from shinji and anti aizen. Her bankai is reversed so its a healer type and will only do damage multiplied by 5 if someone believes her attack will hurt as well as gaining status ailments like aizen's illusions. However, if they trust her they'll be healed and cured of status ailments If she herself has been affected by a status ailment in the pass she has a higher chance of curing it for others and herself similar to an antibody reaction Thus due to her experiences her bankai is quite powerful and if she exposes herself to more physical, mental, and spiritual pain her bankai will take it and make others and herself stronger

I would do her Bankai by taking inspiration from Zanpakutō rebellion. Taking Tobiume pink scarf with the giant bells and have it from around Hinamori. Depending on her spiritual pressure and control determines the number of bells. The bells letting her fire off more blasts at once with more force and power. Also acting as a warning system, ringing when another spiritual pressure is nearby while the sound keeps her mind clear from illusions.

Since the fire can be pink as mentioned I wonder if it can be any other color. In a way ignition and the “flying plum tree” could also cause Hinamori to shoot Firework like explosions as weapons. Another nice so typical Hinamori bankai would be dealing with chemically colored flames having various effects that can work in tandem with her kido skills. Not sure if these entries make too much sense but I figured it sounded funny and more departing from those bankai types already in existence.

Of all, I like #3 and #6 best, and in this case, combined with each other. Tobiume's prongs bursts into petals that floats around and wide area of effect encompassing the battlefield with plum tree petals. As they flow around, similar to #3, a chain reaction and personal detonation is retained. With the mixture of #6, Hinamori could use the petals to dispel all illusory and mental abilities/effects. Due to Hinamori's excellent expertise for Kido, she can also use her Bankai to magnify her Kido, Bakudo and Kaido if she can use them. As the lieutenant of both Shinji Hirako and Sosuke Aizen who both utilizes illusion and mental capabilities, Hinomori in this Bankai can utilize her plum tree petals to also create illusions and mental effects at her disposal. As similarly to the Insignia that represents the Fifth Division, Lily of the Valley, it's pristine and pure look is pleasant to the eyes but when consumed is rather poisonous to the body and can cause heart failures. The Lily of the Valley also grows red berries, bright and luscious, and could be what Tobiume's fireball resembles--berries growing on Tobiume's branches.

I like your 6th idea as a character development thing, but what if we push it a step further? What if it can burn through any Reiatsu construct, rather than just illusions? What if it provides an effecitve counter to the illusory effects, but also every kido-style blade? What if it took those effects and IGNITED them, causing the constructs of energy to burn away, forcing their Shikai and bankai (and i suppose Ressurecion) to revert to their dormant forms? And on top of it preventing kido techniques from being used? That would turn her from a base blaster to a battlefield control expert and that is the kinda thing that that kinda trauma would do to someone

Personally my first thought was to give here a phoenix like clad type Bankai to allow her to absorb and heal from massive damage, but that seems a little to far off base from her standard Zanpakutō powers. I would say to simply clad her in pink fire but that puts her to close to Yamamoto and isn't overly unique so what if the gimmick of her Bankai is that while clad she can momentarily become intangible allowing her to completely bypass the damage of a massive attack. The use of this ability can be limited to the number of branches Tobiume is able to sprout, meaning the power grows more useful as Momo herself grows.

I'll write my bankai idea first and then the deep explanation for it's ability afterwards, on Hinamori's release of her zanpaktou I can imagine it taking the shape of a chained weapon with one end more heavy then the other or something ceremonial like the bells seen on her Zanpaktou's human form in the zanpaktou rebellion art as for her ability it's quite simple, it would allow her to continuously recycle reishi and create 3 large powerful fireballs at once allowing her to launch them at differing times in a fight without worry of needing them to slowly regenerate My idea for how her explosions always worked was that there was some odd limiter on them like a charge time for each ball to be as powerful as the first released or the first ball released is the most powerful and some time has to pass by or she has to create a barrage of them and then unleash them for things to reset and get the strong fire ball again My line of thinking comes from the oddity of her explosions sometimes actually causing great harm to her enemies and sometimes they barely leave a scratch behind ik that can easily be explained with anime knowledge but I've just always had that idea in my head it's quite hard to change it. So in simple terms, Shikai smaller boom needs to regenerate Fire balls in Bankai larger boom no need to regenerate them

I always liked the Idea of her Shikai being more Kidou than Fire based. My Idea for a Bankai is that she could preload it with a number of Kidou spell she has full mastery over. She can then unleash those Kidou spells with full power, without incantation or even having to speak their number/name. The amount of different Kidou spells she can preload her Bankai with depends on how high they are. So she would have to decide to maybe just have a single, but very powerful spell or to have multiple weaker but in combination more versitile spells.

Warding off illusions would be in line with Plum Blossoms warding off evil spirits. I agree with planting her sword and a tree growing, then have the flowers bloom and have the ability to shoot thousands of small fire balls that she can use in a number of ways. Attacking her enemies with machine gun fire, combining them into larger, even huge fireballs, and igniting in the air to purify evil (including illusions) would fit well for a perfected bankai for her. As a limit, she only has so many flowers to use and when they run out the illusion can return if the source hasn't been dealt with.

In my own concept, I want Hinamori's Bankai to achieve a few specific things. Also in my version of events, Hinamori will be promoted to captain of 5th devision because of this, after having having recovered and trained with Yamamoto (another fire zanpakto user) ever since her wounding at aizen's hands.The specific things this Bankai wants to achieve are as follows: Developing Hinamori into a stronger character, showing both Aizen and Hitsugaya that she can stand on her own, in defiance of Aizen saying he was right to kill her because she couldn't live without him and to reassure Hitsugaya that she doesn't need his protection, it needs to be a new beginning for the character as that's what plum trees symbolize in the language of flowers. Now I'm still struggling a little on my execution of this a little, but I'm coming up with this semi in a rush, so bare with me, a first draft if you will. From the middle of the designated area grows a giant flowering plum tree that seems to stretch all the way up into the heavens. It creates a vertical area of heat haze and falling petals within the span of it's branches. While inside this area, you are robbed of your sense of taste and smell and the haze distorts your vision and makes your eyes play tricks on you. Also, while Hinamori is inside it's area it triples the effectiveness of her kidou spells. While reducing the effectiveness of your opponents by 2/3 (this is more for me wanting momo's basic no 31 kidou fireball to play with the fact Aizen can cast level 90+ kidou without the incantation) The haze is also meant as a tribute to both of her teachers, her former master Aizen and her new teacher Yamamoto. Obviously the bankai needs a more developed theme/story to how the battle plan for the zanpakto works, but that's my starting point. Also I love the visual concept of a battle that is leaping up through twisting branches among a haze of heat and flower petals, that could look amazing.

The first one's mechanics I like the most. I'd like to think the "plum" explosives on the first bankai aren't passively acting, each "plum" on a branch is a capable firing point at her instruction, like a mentally manned turret version of her Shikai's ability, but bigger and more powerful. It would be cool if it could also act as a conduit for Kido too, with her instructing the Kido, then imbued it into the bankai via the trunk and using any branch as an initiation point for the Kido. If the branch has a "plum" and the Kido is placed on that, the plum disappears and the branch imbues the Kido with pink flames and explosions instead of firing a plum. A simple spell like Rikujokoro becomes 3 flaming explosive darts that pin the opponent then explode in a fiery explosion on contact burning them while pinning them in place too for example. With the appearance and activation, I personally envision her holding her Shikai in front of her, right-ways up, and firing a small fireball into the sky. The fireball hovers above her head, and then she releases her grip on Tobiume and it starts hovering in place. She yells Bankai, then Tobiume shoots upward into the fireball and vanishes, and an ornate tree like version of her sword's blade erupts out of the top engulfing the sky of the battlefield and the fireball that initiated the bankai sags a bit then extends into ethereal roots that look like Shide streamers. Telling how long the bankai lasts could be indicated by those Shide, and each tab on the Shide catches fire and fall off for each attack used. She can extend the Shide's length by pouring more Reiatsu into the tree, extending it's usage time, and the Bankai deactivates when the Shide have been fully used up, spitting her Zanpakuto out the bottom and the rest of the tree shatters and dissipates. I feel like that release style gives the name of her sword more merit, having her let it fly away as opposed to planting it downwards.

Hey this came out on my birthday, and for one of my favorite lieutenants. To think I'm a day late. If we went all in and combined every idea into one, she could grow a tree and the bomb plums like in the 1st idea, but without enveloping both fighters into a cage of roots. It's just the tree in the open air. To make up for this, Momo can control one or more of the plum "mines" hanging down, the 3rd and 4th concepts could be utilized as options for how Hinamori manipulates a plum. The Tree could be leaking sap like in the 2nd idea, and that sap protects Momo with tobiume's power. All combined this can sound overpowered, but for better or worse, Aizen's betrayal affected it. The plums are constantly growing in size and weight and the roots Momo's zanpakuto created to grow the tree are burning. When the roots are gone the tree begins disappearing, the heavy plums "snap" off the weakening branches, and they all explode. Momo is not safe from the explosion, and even the sap that was once protecting her may catch on fire and burn her body. This "betrayal" from the bankai is due to what Aizen did to her, but there is one benefit. Call it Momo's answer to this drawback. The explosion isn't just physical, it takes the 6th idea and destroys any illusory powers in the vicinity.

Combine 1 and 3, giant encasement filled with petals and plums, the petals stick to the opponent and act as homing beacons for the plums. The Tree Bankai concept is just perfect for her, as the concept of the late bloomer who went through lot of pain, to finally bloom into one of the most beautiful bankai in existence, rivaling with Hakka no Togame. In Fire force, captain Hibana's fire Sakura technic is something I found amazing and think could work well with Tobiume. By incorporating the Asian fairy esthetic of her zanpakuto spirit in that non canon arc, the idea of her powers being more about ignition and "sparking" rather than fire control and a stealing a few tricks from Bambietta I came up with this idea : [Tenjo Ume Chiru] Release command : Burst into bloom Release ritual : with her shikai she has to draw a circle on the ground which will catch ablaze and then sink the sword in the ground. A flash of light will envelope her before revealing the bankai. Appearance : Momo stands before a plum tree made of fire with bright pink blossoms that starts to fall and scatter around the battlefield. She has thin pink shawl floating around her (a hagoromo) with a bell on each end. Effects : The heat from the plum blossoms is enough to provoke heat syncopes but the true power of the bankai is that everything that comes into contact with a petal will spontaneously combust into a fireball. Turning the entire battle field into a pink inferno. Using her hagoromo's movement she can direct the petals at a her taget(s) with the grace and elegance of a dancing fairy. Weakness : She doesn't have unlimited petals, so once the abscission(the fall of the petals) is done the tree dies and she reverts back to her shikai. Also since her bankai is pretty much grounded, she has poor mobility slightly balanced by the range of her scattered blossoms. Strength : while she technically only set things ablaze, the speed and the output of the ignition is so great that it creates fire balls explosions similar to those of her improved shikai but more condensed and thus way more destructive. Making the target the epicenter of the blast. It has defensive capabilities since she is essentially surrounded by a floating mine field and great offensive abilities. The idea is to mix both a form of feminine grace with explosive temperament. With enough training and growth she can eventually learn to control the shape of her petals combustions learning to infuse kido threads for more versatility and range. Blossoming not only plum fruits (her fireballs) but other shapes as well (like a big ass explosion in the shape of a plum flower)

My idea would be that she starts her Bankai with a single attack. It deals the normal damage, but also produces a bloom from the point of impact. The bloom sprouts into a tree, possibly with 1 branch less than her sword (eg. If she trained to get 7 branches, attacks from it would make trees with 6 branches). Each tree is then able to make attacks of its own, which would also sprout on impact. Eventually the battlefield would be covered with such trees, each bombarding the enemy with attacks every few seconds. They could either need to charge up (eg. charging an attack to 7 branches is extremely powerful & required to create a 6-branch tree) or have each branch fire individual shots. It might even have the option to do both. Going with the Zanpakuto going into the ground, it'd be cool if the sword transforms into the initial tree; Momo would lose her weapon, but it could also let her focus on Kido; she might use defensive spells to buy time for the Bankai's offenses to build. The pinnacle of it would be if a powerful shot hit an enemy, causing a tree to sprout from them; said tree could then bombard them point blank

her sword looks like a seven-branch sword, but it also kind of looks like a radio antennae to me. i always assumed that her fireballs were a basic Kido spell and that her Zanpakuto had the ability to amplify Kido. kind of like she is a dedicated wizard in D&D. it seems interesting for a "Kido-based" zanpakuto to be not much more than a radio antenna for a kido-based Shinagami.

What immediately came to mind once I heard what her Shikai does, is that when she activates her bBnkai, roots take hold in the ground and grow large pink trees all around the area, with fiery pink fruit forming on them. When she eats one, Hinamori's hair turns into pink fire and her eyes erupt with those same pink flames. A cloak of flames forms around her and she becomes a walking bomb, able to detonate explosions at a rapid pace, and even able to propel herself with them, sort of like Bakugo in MHA.

An idea I’ve always held for her Bankai was kinda like yours but slightly different. It goes like this: she shoves her sword into the ground causing the blade to extend like roots that give off a slight pink glow under foot the ground getting progressively hotter causing stage two of her bankai to take effect, then as momo and her target move to the air, the hilt of her sword bursts into a great flaming tree, the tree begins producing fruit and burning petals that start floating down immediately and if touched burn the target not stopping until the all the petals from the tree are gone then part 3 of her bankai is ready. The fruit begins pulsating and upon contact with a single petal they ignite causing a violent explosion leaving the enemy nowhere to go as the ground is already melting from the roots, the petals that are still slowly falling causing a never ending burn and the fruit exploding around them causing pain and confusion it’s a cage of fiery death and disparity that no one would ever expect from a frail looking girl like momo adding to the horror of her bankai

I think what Hinamori is doing is “burning” Reiatsu or making it explode. While in Shikai her Zanpakto might be limited to just her reiatsu. It could be that her bankai could expand its effect to the reiatsu of others. That would make it a nightmare to other fighters who are heavily reliant on energy based attacks. That cage she ignited could’ve been a kido spell that she turned into a bomb.

In the filler Rebellion Zanpatou, Tobiume is shown as pseudo Miko Priestess. What if she turn into Bow or Naginata while in Bankai. Bow could make her being far from foes or a Naginata could make being able to defend herself when a foe gets to close or if she rush into danger. If she gets a bow, she could use Kido to combo with her attacks. It also would be cool to see Momo to get Support skills. It would shown you dont need to be Squad 4 to assist allies.

When I think of tree and fire, I think of a wildfire. With the command Wildfire, Hinamori's Zanpakuto is engulfed in flame. With a swing of her sword, she creates a roughly 10 foot (3 meter) wide and high wave of flame that travels out a set distance incinerating everything flammable in it's path (including flesh). Since this is extremely powerful, it has a short timer since it quickly goes through her riatsu. Another ability her bankai has is something to deal with someone who can dodge her flame waves. By stabbing into the ground, she creates a circle of flame that expands from her that burns everything within 50 feet.

I love these ideas, Tom. I can truly see any of these ideas for her final stage, but while my head is leaning towards Ideas 1 and 3, my heart is praying out for idea 6, as it would be such delicious karma to see a character with a Bankai tailor-made to stop Aizen's Shikai.
