If I always do preventive oil change (every 5000 miles) and after oil change always reset my Maintenance Minder, would I ever see those sub codes? If I don't see those sub codes HOW do I know when I should change my Spark Plugs, etc.? Thanks!

this is what i'm trying to figure out as well! if the service codes only appear when oil life reaches 15% but say it never reaches it (i.e. you change oil at 20% or something), or someone accidentally or purposefully reset it, then how would you know. i've heard stories of peoples engine oil life % never changing even after driving the expected distance to change the oil

Wish I would have known this before arguing with Honda about needing a trans oil change 🤦🏾♂️

I guess all Honda Maintenance Minders work like mine. It doesn't tell you what "needs to be done" until my oil usage gets down to 15%. Sooo, what happens if you want to change your oil earlier and reset it at say 40% or something? How does the MM handle this?

My maintenance reminder had me getting a transmission fluid change over 5k miles early.
