I have it on my armpit and it kept growing without treatment it’s still growing but it’s getting better now with treatment

It can, yes. Some people get it once or twice a year or more.

@@srikanthnithyanandammdHow do you guys treat this condition if it repeats? What is the cause of this? Is it possible for staph to overpopulate on a human and cause problems? How do we get rid of a reoccurring impetigo staph infection? Instead of a one time treatment

Hello my doctor is also confused if it is impetigo or herpes I'm taking his medicines, how can I make it clear if it is impetigo or herpes?

You can do tzank smear testing for virus. Good thing is both are self resolving. Herpes usually can present with tingling pain sometimes.

Because of trauma during sports along with close contacts.

Recommend seeing a dermatologist. They might consider an abx for few weeks.

@@srikanthnithyanandammd I’ve been going to the derm for a while now, I take doxycycline once a quarter, and that seems to drown out my symptoms for a few months

It’s also more like a rash I would know I had it for a month and It kind burns when you put pressure on it I have it again

Impetigo isn’t super serious but I did get it and it was irritating and hard not to scratch but my story is that when I went to my friends farm it was about +30 outside so there were a lot of bugs outside and they kept biting my face my chest and my leg and I also got a scratch from there cat that was deep so a bunch of bacteria i assume was in my cat scratch and in my bug bites and they started forming crust on it and it was a weird texture and it was in fact like honey and red around them and it started spreading around my body it first started off on my cheek right beside my lip and the upper part of my leg then it started to spread under my chin, on my chest, my nose, and all down both my legs so I had to have this liquid medicine 4 times a day and I also had to have this cream on every single spot for it to get better but also this was only a year ago and I’m sure glad that it gone so now

That's great. Yes, sometimes it can cause recurrent infections in some people

I also had this for about a couple of weeks, it’s pain was unbearable and it was all over my lips I could not eat without pain either.. it was a yellow crust With red sores and I gave it to my family
