Man thats a-lot of stuff in that kit. Im usually weight conscience and tend to go light. I guess one cant put a price on safety for a little extra weight. Sea to summit brand makes a first aid labeled dry bag which i have and i will be filling it now with additional supplies after watching your video. Thanks for the tips.

Yeah it is large-ish and that’s why I opted for a waist pack since it’s “free space” that wasn’t being used. That’s what I like about canoe trips I can pack a bit heavier and especially on solo trips this kit raises my comfort level. If it was a backpacking trip then would need to scale it down. That’s great if you got some ideas from my video, thanks for your comments!

Any big trips planned for the rest of the summer?

With the fire and travel restrictions off and on its been a challenge to plan anything and had to cancel some trips! A week long fall solo from nopiming into woodland caribou in Ontario for sure. Overnight solo down the rabbit river in a week or so (fingers crossed) and hopefully one with my dad and kids in August.
