As an American, I have never met an Iranian person I did not like. I grew up in the 80's in California and had many Persian friends who's family fled Iran. Great, beautiful, people with a rich culture. It pains me that the theocrats have taken over Iran and alienated their people from the rest of the world. I wish the Iranian people the best, and I hope that one day our two nations can have better relations.

I very much miss all the Persian friends I had during my college days, and over the years of my career. Going to California State University Northridge, in the late '70's, early '80's - during the Revolution - we had many exchange students, especially in the schools of Engineering and Business.. My best friend from Iran, Shahrok Shahpouri - one of the best engineers I ever knew... I so regret losing contact with him. I'm pleased to see so many people on the streets in the evening - so many shops open and thriving - people looking happy and active - families and children. It's a very good sign. Our countries and cultures should not be in opposition.

It’s not about places, it’s about peoples life if they are disciplined or they let their children running across the restaurant or the food court. Couldn’t see any trash laying around. Looks like the West is over civilized, just like New York where they are bumping in you if you accidentally lost or don’t know which direction you want to go. And if evening coms, most of them have to hide from beggars or drug users attacks. If I could live in Iran or Russia or for God forbid in China, I would be there already.
