What is Israel's "Iron Beam" Laser and How Does it Work? | Vantage with Palki Sharma
Will Israel deploy its Iron Beam laser to counter aerial threats by Hamas?
The Iron Beam is a laser anti-missile system that has a range of about 10 kilometres and can produce an about 100 kW laser beam.
The short range means it will augment, not replace, other Israeli defence systems like the Iron Dome.
Palki Sharma explores

More than 10 years ago, the UK’s environment minister Phil Woolas sounded the alarm about this “very sensitive” issue that is “rarely debated”. Referring to the culture of arranged marriages between cousins in the Muslim immigrant community, Woolas said: “If you have a child with your cousin the likelihood is there’ll be a genetic problem.” Woolas, whose views are supported by medical experts, said most cases occur in immigrant families from rural Pakistan, where up to half of all marriages involve first cousins. Woolas said: “If you talk to any primary care worker they will tell you that levels of disability among the . . . Pakistani population are higher than the general population. And everybody knows it’s caused by first cousin marriage.” The problem is made worse by generational inbreeding. As Woolas put it, “Many of the parents themselves and many of the public spokespeople are themselves products of first cousin marriages.” That would explain why research for BBC2’s Newsnight in November 2005 showed that British Pakistanis accounted for 3.4% of all births but 30% of all British children with recessive genetic disorders. Indeed, an entry in Wikipedia confirms that “Cousin marriages in Muslim majority countries are often preferred and even encouraged in some regions,” and points to the fact that the prophet Muhammad himself had married cousins. But the problem isn’t exclusive to Pakistani Muslims as Woolas seems to imply, but is a pandemic among Muslims across the world. According to Nicolai Sennels, a Danish psychologist who has done extensive research into Muslim inbreeding, close to half of all Muslims in the world are inbred: 70% of Pakistanis are inbred. 67% of Saudi Arabians are inbred. 64% of those living in Jordan and Kuwait are inbred. 63% of Sudanese are inbred. 60% of Iraqis are inbred. 54% of Muslims in the United Arab Emirates and Qatar are inbred. 25-30% of those in Turkey are inbred. In England, at least 55% of Pakistani immigrants are married to their first cousins. In Denmark, the number of inbred Pakistani immigrants is around 40%. Among Palestinian Arabs, the rate of consanguinity is very high and some 44.3% of the marriages are between relatives (22.6% of them between first cousins). Sennels points out that cousin marriage was sanctioned by Muhammad and has been going on now for 50 generations (1,400 years) in the Muslim world. This practice of inbreeding will never go away in the Muslim world since Muhammad is the ultimate example and authority on all matters, including marriage. Sennels warns that massive inbreeding in Muslim culture may well have done virtually irreversible damage to the Muslim gene pool, including extensive damage to Muslims’ intelligence, sanity, social skills, and mental & physical health.

Because of this, Gods and Buddhas asked me to tell all beings in the world a few words that the Gods wish to say. Every word reveals heavenly secrets, and the purpose is for people to know the truth and be given another opportunity to be saved.” *** Why the Creator Seeks to Save All Life “...The Creator is the Lord of all gods in the cosmic realm, and He is the maker of the Lord of all lords, and the King of all kings. He commands all beings, including all humans, gods, and things in the Three Realms, which He has created. His love is the ultimate holy grace for sentient beings! The focal lenght of said anti laser mirror would need to be the distance from the missile to the Iron beam. The same as the focus of the Iron beam likewise need to be the same? But a land based ? 50'000 lb system has a better chance. I'm familiar with 1700 watt co2 lasers Boeing uses to make all the nacelles absorb blade sounds from engines. And I've seen a 35,000 watt laser rumored to cut holes thru steel. But these use about 100. Homes power? I've walked around the Retired air borne laser Boeing flew on a 747? But know only a very little about ? So time will tell how good the Iron Beam works. A better plan is to convince people to live peacefully? And feed the poor instead of wasting Billions of $ on war weapons?

We already have laser guns. Comercial-built laser guns for warfare would be a totally different story. The problem comes with a. The storage of the Energy to power a powerful enough Laser to be utilized. ( We do have size limitations due to atoms and particles. ) b. Having a material that is able to consistently handle the temperatures of hand-held energy weapons. c. if the scenario is warfare, the built tool would need to be efficient enough to not compromise the initial structure and design of the tool. So, it would need to take into account, size, energy output, a range of temperatures, etc.

Maybe, maybe not. Just like every industry, they would simply need to either design and move with the technology, for example; production of the energy storing device. @omarlondon the system was designed to reduce the cost. About $3 per kill v iron domes 100,000 per kill as two Tamir missiles are fired per incoming threat. I've seen iron beam in action. it's quite impressive. Imagine heating up a missile so much it instantly explodes while the missiles is travelling at several hundred miles per hour. It's very impressive It takes about 5 or less seconds for that to happen and has a range of 4 ish miles, it uses a 100kw laser. Because it uses light. Air molecules scatter the beam which is why it is used in conjunction with iron dome. That's why adverse weather conditions affect it.

The USA Has had these on multiple Navy ships for several years and has had very large lasers on a 747 to shoot down aircraft and ICBMs for over a decade. AIRFORCE ONE has a laser system on it that burns out the warhead of any missiles fired at i,. In 1991 two Abrams tanks had a tank-killing laser mounted on them that killed two T-72 MBTs but the laser was too heavy and had to have a dozen large batteries and a generator mounted on the tank and was deemed ineffective due too it could only fire 1 time out to 4 miles.

Terrain following weapons are a problem because light is "just" a straight line from it's source and cannot go around obstacles. Additionally because the lasers a still weak and have to be focused a while on an object, the position of the source of the beam is easily detectable and can be aimed. As humans, it is our duty to promote peace and conflict resolution in all situations, including this complex Israel-Palestine conflict. We ALL MUST strive to stop violence and initiate peace efforts. THIS IS A MATTER OF HUMANITY!! We need to call on all parties involved to immediately declare a "CEASEFIRE" and halt all military operations. The safety of civilians must be the top priority. Efforts should be made to initiate an "OPEN DIALOGUE" and transparency between "ISRAEL & PALESTINE" to reach a conflict resolution based on UN resolutions and international law. These discussions must consider the interests of all parties, including the Palestinian and Israeli communities. Encourage the international community and humanitarian organizations to "PROVIDE NEEDED ASSISTANCE TO THE GAZA POPULATION" and affected regions. Food, medicines, and clean water supplies need to be delivered as soon as possible. Pressure is needed to "UPHOLD HUMAN RIGHTS" in all circumstances and to stop the bombing of hospitals and civilian locations. Any actions that violate the laws of war and human rights must cease. "WORLD LEADERSHIP MUST COOPERATE" with international organizations such as the United Nations and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to promote peace and ensure that the parties involved respect UN resolutions. Encourage countries with influence and interests in this conflict, including the "UNITED STATES & ITS ALLIES, TO COLLABORATE IN THE EFFORTS TO ACHIEVE A RESOLUTION, NOT ESCALATE THE SITUATION," and seek a peaceful path and end the oppression. After the conflict ends, ensure that recovery and development efforts are implemented to assist the population affected by the conflict. This includes repairing infrastructure and providing economic opportunities. I believe that a resolution to this conflict requires joint efforts from all parties involved and the support of the international community. Security, humanity, and peace should be our top priorities.
