AA and NA are brilliant and i shall attend for the rest of my life. All the Best. Pauline

I went to hell bro for 21 years! My story is similar to yours. I was 15 when I got on heroin, crack 2 years later. Injected snowballs by 19. Same cycle for years. Crime, drugs, jail. I got clean in 2020 and I’ve got a decent job, builder. I remember I used to hate waking up in a morning, rattling! In a mess! I wake up now feeling good knowing I’m going to work to earn a wage have a laugh with my pals. Crazy thing is, weed and PlayStation saved my life, that’s all I did through Covid lockdown, and just end up recovered along the way, but it’s the best thing I did!

They call this demographic of people (who used after raves in the 90s) "The Trainspotting Generation". A lot of people who used in the 90s have since died, have HIV and/or Hep or never managed to get off heroin/methadone. I'm sure you know this, but people didn't realise how addictive it was. There wasn't the stigma of "smackhead", so there wasn't anything to compare it to in terms of how bad it could (and would get) for those using. I am in active addiction, but I'm only 29 and have been using for 4 years. A lot of H is cut with nitazines. "Brown" heroin as we know it will soon become a thing of the past, with synthetic opioids becoming so cheap. Good luck with your channel, my love. xxx

Don’t want to devalue this guys experience, but I suppose I will. Needle use is another level when it comes to addiction and heroin use. And being overweight was certainly never an issue that I had over a twenty year stretch. There’s no money left for food.

In my younger days i used to party with E, speed and coke but i always stayed away from acid because when i was young in the early 70s people were throwing themselves of buildings thinking they could fly under the influence of the drug. I’m guessing you’re around my age with what you’re saying. I’m 45. I left school in 1995, speed was my first drug, then me and my mates got acid, “white lightnings” they were brilliant, we stayed out all night “trip trekking” everything looked purple and pixelated, no dangers at all back then walking around through the night chatting shit and laughing at fuck all 😂then I went to pills, went to raves, various house parties, times were great. But I knew lads that had started to do H to come down after being up all night wired, I never did. A few of them are dead now !! I started smoking weed quite late, I was around 20. That was my crippling crutch until last year. I’m so glad to be free from it. Plus it’s gone shit like everything did.
