What is it like playing Football in Thailand?

Over the weekend I made a small trip to the city of Satun in Southern Thailand. I was there to visit my friend who is a Thai player that captains the team in this city. I watched his team SATUN FC train and also interviewed two foreign players, one from Brazil and one from Korea about playing football in Thailand. I also show you around the city and what it is like living in a small city in Thailand. Enjoy

What is the average age of a thai 4th division team? They seem to be very young. Here in germany there are many 30 year olds in squads, even in lower leagues.

This team in Satun Fc is quite young. Two of the brazillian foreigners are over 30.. also thai players look quite young.. for example boss is 25.. every team is different and there are still many teams with more older experienced players.

Hi I like how you pointed out that the players in Thai League 4 are still really good. Perhaps to give a fuller picture, for future interviews with foreign players in asian leagues, you could ask them how the standard compares to their leagues back home, and perhaps any differences in terms of playing styles/player abilities. It would be rly cool to hear for instance how the Thai league compares with leagues in Brazil! From your personal experience, what do you think is the difference between the players in thai league 4 and the TPL/MSL?

Noted. the main difference between the standard.. is physically better, technically better, less mistakes. all round better players. in saying that there are some good talent that you can find in the lower leagues and with right training coaching etc anything is possible.

Abdulahomar Jamshidi they usually don’t pay in T5 but some team does pay. My current is sponsored by an airline and my team pays, good amount for a T5 team

I know nothing about "canio myo myo" but it was funny :) 9:30 classic square from the past 4X2 with small efficiency because of- if 4 players will be pretty close to each other they can't possession the ball ( these 2 guys make interseption immediately ) if they will be pretty far these 2 guys can't make even something, so, You can use 4X2 but if You look for efficiency- distance in this drill should be perfect, in this case distances are a bit wide 7:00 it's just entertainment ( total absence of speed :)) 3 laps is just waste of time ( footballers are already warmed up ) it's better to be careful with dynamic stretching on the beginning of training :) 8:40 it's just warm up with the ball ( there is not even some small efficiency here ) 10:15 again, it's just an entertainment 10:50 here, everything is perfect, because all guys are setting and their legs are resting, also the coach says: look guys, our opponent tomorrow will use the ball and 11 players! the footballers: oh, we will not have chances! it's very sneaky tactic! :) 11:00 as usually, the game will bring some corrections for tactic already on 5-10th minutes :) no wish to freezing tomatoes? 100 baks! :)

Normally if you are playing in a higher level team in Asia the club will sort out your work visa.. if lower leagues then many players will normally fly out of the country or do border runs and then come back in on holiday visas.

It's not too late but you will have crazy competition so obviously you need to be good. It would have been good to try be a pro from another country a decade ago because there were few foreign players. I wish I had thought of it I was a good player struggling in UK I would of easy been able to create a career in Thai a decade ago because the level of football is higher in UK even at low level.
