What is it like to live in Port Macquarie?

I live an hour from there, Port being the closest city and I do like it. Its very pretty and there are a lot of nice beaches and outdoors types of things to do.But not that many restaurants (though there are a few good ones) and everything is mostly dead after 5pm there is no night life other than Finnians (an Irish pub). There also isn't much work... But If you like it quiet and enjoy the ocean,markets and nature its a nice place to be.

Living in Portmacquarie is great especially the beaches The doctor's walk and the break wall near the caravan park is beautiful 😊

I've visited Port Macquarie three times and three times my car has been vandalized whilst there and also three different ways, once with eggs then there was a hammer then finally the use of a key,so if you want to go to Port Macquarie make sure you have car insurance! Oh and also I should add I was there on new years eve 2013 and there was a MURDER outside of my apartment I was staying and I was locked inside all of new years day while the police cleaned all of the blood of the road where a drug dealer was stabbed to death by another drug dealer, so I would recommend not going to Port Macquarie.

We live hinterland, I do my weekly shopping in Port and never ever experienced any of this. Bad luck I guess, sorry to hear!

sounds like a you problem. cars are known to get vandalised when they're parked in driveways or parked somewhere where they shouldn't be.

Avery.S well if your moving into a unit in Port Macquarie tell them to put a reservation on that unit, it will take you about 5 years to reach it because of the traffic on the two entrances into the town.
