That hole gauge kit is fancy enough to display under glass as pure mechanical art. I think is it one of those rare tools that transcends its function, and brings an aesthetic beauty to the job.

With the Diatest you can get a stand that helps with repetitive gauge work. What I like about the Diatest is the fact you can check for roundness and parallelism. If you have a tolerance on a hole you can set the 2 black sliding marks so at a glance you can see if the hole is within tolerance. Comes in handy when measuring a number of articles.

As an aerospace machinist who manufactured parts for rotating turbomachinery from turbofans, turboprops and auxiliary power units for 40+ years, dial bores were a part of my daily life as well as other gaging. A pi tape would definitely drive your viewers crazy.

@ellieprice363Ай бұрын
I wonder how many viewers besides me would like to know what year the oldest town in Texas was established?
@user-oi8tg3dq7tАй бұрын
The town got started after the French departed in the 1760s. Later it was abandoned and a Spanish trader reestablished it in 1779. Incorporated as a town in 1837 and incorporated as a city in 1929. Population is about 32,000.

Gauge pins never tell you as much as a bore gauge. But the downfall is you need either ring gauges or gauge blocks to set up the bore gauge.

I always use gauge pins for holes under .500 the small hole guages were unreliable

Only thing is with gauge pins they don't tell you if the hole is round or parallel.

Saluti dall'Italia. Ciao

Really really doubt that it's an Ice Pick except for someone with poor aim needing to pre-position the point and so weak that they needed the slide-hammer assist, also the metal handle would be impractical in the cold. NEVER woulda thought it was a center punch with that loong taper, a prick punch is as much taper as you'd want for metal! The 2 large holes under the head are way more then it would need to let air escape and it's way larger then need be for any leather work, so I'm left clueless but am certain it isn't for chipping ice. Thanks for all!

I must be an unpatriotic American as I have never owned a small block Chevy. I used to borrow my dad’s 83 Chevy Caprice wagon with its 305 V8. My own Chevy has a straight 6 from 1934, but my daily drivers have been Fords with either 4 or 6 cylinder engines except for an E250 van with a 5.4 liter V8

Gah... if there is one person on earth whom I would have trusted to disable those obnoxious AI generated auto-dubs, it'd be you. Now you sound like a woke college student, plus you use weird, nonsensical wordings. Isn't AI just awesome. Well at least you didn't get it as bad as the lady over at Blondihacks, she is a 30 year old man now.

I'm talking about this new "feature" that was added to youtube and enabled by default (you can turn it off in upload options inside yt-studio). For people with non-english system locale, your narration will be computer-translated with some aaaaawesome AI. Also, you get a new AI-generated voice for free. Translation quality is, well... remember those japanese user manuals back in the 1980s? Not quite as bad, but you get the idea. Also, your voice is now no longer a grown man's voice as one would expect, but ressembles one of those green-woke college kids who pronounce every word pedantically to show their intellectual supremacy, and who will teach you the benefits of eating vegan and having a self-driving electric car.
