Anyway, thanks for making this video. I see this interview not only viewing any responses from the respondent. It's like a usual conversation, started by asking name, and flow with a musical topic. Risa is a natural companion to chat with xD. I learned something from this, especially about grammar and listening, basically how the native Japanese speak. Thanks again!! These videos are very well done -- not only is the content understandable and interesting, but it shows the way that Japanese people naturally speak in an informal situation. They don't just use ます and です constantly, but end sentences with -te forms or とか, throw in an occasional plain form, use inverted sentences, and such. The way Risa uses politer language with the older people is also an interesting aspect of the language use. Also, the use of んです is instructive. This grammar point is really hard to explain out of context, but seeing the way the Japanese people in the video use んです and んで in this natural conversation is great.

Nice to see what the Japanese people listen to nowadays. I'm not very familiar with the modern scene, but If there's one that comes to mind it's Suchmos. These guys always deliver solid albums! ...When It comes to JP music, I enjoy to listen to bands from the 70-80's like Tatsuro Yamashita, Toshiki Kadomasu, Hiroshi Satoh, Sugiyama Kiyotaka... just to name a few. Also Soul Jazz bands like Yuji Ohno, Hiroshi Suzuki, Hako Yamasaki, the George Otsuka quartet etc.. which are pure awesomeness, there's so many hidden gems to discover in the vast world of Japanese music, it's truly amazing!.. Anyway, So glad you guys are back with new mini street docs. Arigatou gozaimasu, Risa-san et toute l'équipe!

I'll always love Malice Mizer, honestly. That was the first band that I really resonated with, and that gave me something that no other music before that ever had. Picking a favorite song is really hard, but offhand I'd probably choose Shiroi Hada ni Kuru Ai to Kanashimi no Rondo, and the lyric "Inori sasagu aria", because that whole album felt like a sanctuary to me. I think I found them in 2003 or so through going to conventions and making friends that were really into J-Rock at the time. As far as buying CDs, absolutely! Since their separation, I've pre-ordered every CD that Mana's Moi dix Mois has released, and I think I have all of Közi's solo work too! I don't mind spending money on bands and artists that I really love, and they absolutely fit the bill. A song I'd recommend to people is probably Gekka no Yasokyoku, if they enjoy something more upbeat, or Mayonaka ni Kawashita Yakusoku if they prefer the more operatic vibe!

RADWIMPS 🙌🏻 Yojiro is a lyrical poet. I’m always amazed by the lyrics. I love all songs. All 250+ of them. You won’t get bored with RADWIMPS. Futarigoto is also my favorite. It’s all beautiful love letters, speak the blatant truths, and the sound is always different. You could even cut songs into parts and wouldn’t recognize they’re from the same songs.
