I wasn't looking for a wrestling video, just a center of mass clarification and here i just stumbled on one of the clearest physics talks of my life. THANKS!

Wow!!!! You completely threw the mysticism out the door...amazing 👏 There are those that still to this day swear by this magical chi/ki/prana...in terms of fighting energy...good to know it can be explained in scientific terms relatable and demonstratable...We stand on the shoulders of giants yet to be expounded upon. Much Gratitude

@@Combatprofessor Hey Kev, I live in Toronto where systema took us by storm...and one of the concepts that I always found interesting was their approach to the Wolfpack. My appeal to you is could you do little something sumthing on this concept...and yes we should always avoid these types of confrontation but...😆

@@dwanyetom that was indeed a very good explanation of the center of mass by the uploader. Now for you i suggest you should not be commenting with certainty on things you don't know about. There are some crazy things being done by traditional martial artists (Shaolin, wudang monks etc) with the use of internal exercises like Qigong and there is i believe a clear correlation between the two (the things being done and internal exercises).

@@solistas8005 I'm never so cocky as to not be humbled...and I have heard of and seen Shaolin monks do their thing... actually as a child it was partly what drove me to study martial arts...and I'm not taking away from their incredible skills...it was just amazing how well Kevin's explanation of center mass distribution that I've heard for decades come off of his tongue so eloquently and simple that blow me away...so plz don't think for a moment that I'm some know it all...I'm sure there is an explanation for the arcane arts that martial artists display in the softer styles...just haven't in my years seen it utilized in the combat that I've witnessed...so again my humble apologies if you were in any way offended by my comment

This insight is why you are the man ! YeOlde JuJitsu/Judo I always felt we were reinforcing their CoG , brute forcing them over and pretending it was leverage. This makes so much more sense.

You just cleared up a lot of things for me with the solar and lunar plexus break down. I didn't realize the hara was dynamic - facepalm. As usual, awesome work Kevin, thanks for the run down!

I don’t know if there’s much written in English. Alexander retuinskih is my favourite expression of this in the Russian arts
