What is Karma Yoga? How can one get enlightenment? What are the teachings from Vyadha Gita?
Note - This video on 'Karma Yoga' does NOT promote or support killing animals. This is a metaphor (taken from Vedas) that highlights that no work or no duty is impure or inferior.
The message is focused on doing selfless service and keeping doing one's duty with complete dedication & sincerity. It highlights that one can get enlightenment by being a Karm Yogi.

This is a story to justify a butcher's work. This story tells to execute ur duty without attachments. Karma yoga emphasises on 'Karta'. It is not about Karma. It is about karta. I don't know y these kind of stories are circulating around. Stupidity. Killing an animal is the symbol of lack of knowledge. Glorifying such stories is just stupidity. Whoever hv written this story is just justifying his material thought process.

Very nice explanation sir. But I think the main spirit is not addressed here. You just addressed the Karma aspect, but Yoga is missing, Yoga means union with Supreme. So Karma Yoga means - doing your duty keeping the Supreme Lord in the centre. That is what Lord Krishna said to Arjuna, "Do your duty for my (Krishna's or Vishnu's) satisfaction, in that way you will remain free from reactions of the work" Thanks.

I do agree that we need to do our work diligently and with sincierity...but unfortunately here lies the problem atleast in this modern world! People get the job done by you and once they have utilized you for their benefits, they will simply kick you out without a second thought. I have lost my work and a full year have passed by and still struggling to get a decent one...nothing till now. I did my work well and solved so many issues for the company and yet I was the 'only one' to loose my work...It made me alter my preception now...that honesty/sincierity are just words of book...nothing holds up in present times as I have seen with my own eyes that other lazy staffs are still with their jobs now. Ask the ones who have lost their jobs in this pandemic...and they will tell you that practically these words are just stories...easy to say but reality is deadly! So many people have committed suicide and many more are on verge of doing so in this pandemic. Hence reciting a story like this is simply a story...the reality is infathomable 'suffering'! Just ask someone how miserable he/she is in loosing their job in this pandemic. These fancy talks doesnt matter...but hunger does!

@@vimalkumar822 there is nothing such as balance sheet or so Every action has it's reaction and that is all what karma is. You throw water full of glass on someone ,it will wet that person , that person due to getting wet will get angry and in anger he can take revenge. This is all what karma is Nothing such as you told. Also if everything is predetermined then it won't even make sense about good or bad things done by someone coz they are already pre determined or even if they aren't pre-determined birth crap will also make good or bad karma thing ineffective. For example - if someone born in a terrorist family , he will be taught that his job is to do terrorist attack , he will do it with full heart and will die in a self bomb blast killing 1000s. Now what? Did he do right or wrong according to your logic? He did hos duty but he killed innocents for no reason, he was born in a terrorist family so it was obvious for him to get such teachings. So your balance sheet theory is crap , nothing is predetermined You take actions and then there is a reaction. There is a infinite chain of action and reactions which lead to various experiences in our lives.

That lady was taking care of her father and the butcher was taking care of his parents so, they were fully involved and in that involvement their limited persona, their limited perception of who I am was gone. So, only because of involvement we know something and life becomes beautiful, there is no other way.

Divinity is irrespective of profession that’s what the message is . Butcher was born in to family business and he had no control over it but what he had control was way he performed his assigned action that is with detachment. Imagine the household lady could foresee what the sanyasi could not and regarded this vyadha as her Guru, the essence and deeper meaning is for reader to understand. The video is just a glimpse . Moral of the story(for those who didnt understood) : Just because you do meditation, yoga everyday, doesnt make u a sanyasi. When the moment of "not getting affected by leaves or birds" came, you reacted, you got angry, so your years of meditation got flushed in the sink, if you did not apply in real world. That's the moral : Being Aware that "thought of anger, jealousy, attachment" is just around the corner testing you to react, but you DO NOT REACT, thats TRUE AWARENESS. Leave the butcher, he will face his karma about killing animals or whatever right/wrong he did in his life. He will face his karma, but you(both: sanyasi, and the person reading this comment) "judging him" (judging is also a REACTION) for doing "anything xyz" will add up to your karmic account. Meditation means just observe & be aware. Also, i read someone say that then that justifies terrorism because they butchering people like a piece of meat is just their job. NO IT DOES NOT. Because, their actions are not in alignment of the universe, they are just angry, frustated, tortured, brainwashed, empty, hollow souls, literally a black hole on the surface of earth, killing people mercilessly for what? for Meeting God😂 They are doing the "anti" of whatever a human has to do to meet his higher conciousness or God i.e. Love & Peace!

Lessons are learned by experience. Not in books. Knowledge is meaningful with experice. Karma is our own doing of lifetimes, we are re-born but our actions in the past births may still be wound in the living by generations. How is karma resolved-stop the identification, stop the illusion of who we are, stop the material gathering-our body has gathered enough. Let go of desires above need. Have love beyond relation. If our journey here is limited, why seek for limitation. Seek to realise limitless through yoga, oneness with creation. Oneness with kala-and become timeless.

You are not a fool. It's the story that has been changed by this youtuber to satisfy his own narrative. In the end, the butcher told the yogi that he himself is a very learned person and does sadhna, but he also does this job of a butcher as he knows that no other person will care for the cattle like he does and that they will brutally butcher the cattle not caring about the pain. He had to take this job as he knew that he would do that in the most humane way possible. That's the whole story.

True. However, This is incomplete picture. Every Duty is connected to one’s psychophysical nature. Everyone’s Psychophysical nature is bifurcated by three modes of material nature. One may do his duty in mode of satoguna or tamoguna still it has defects but one does not commit sins if he does duties in accordance with his psychophysical nature coz all these duties within three modes are on material platform. Context of the story is doing duty while being detached from duty, giving fruits of karma to God and give up pride n false ego. This principle wont apply to sadist atheist butcher who is pleased killing animals, such butcher would face reactions of his karma. Context is important.

@deepak Therefore, unless one is Gunatit (transcendental to the three modes of material nature ie satoguna, rajoguna & tamoguna translated as goodness, passion & ignorance respectively) he is bound by dualities (good & bad, heat & cold, happiness & sorrows etc) of Karmic cycle conditioned by material nature. Conscious entity becomes Gunatit only by surrendering his will unto lotus Feets of Gunaadhish (Master of three modes of Material Nature ie Almighty Lord / Supreme Consciousness). Analogy: Soldier killing for State in compliance of orders protecting the State’s subjects, does not commit crime/sins. Spies stealing info of threats from Invading States does not commit crime/sin. Personalities like Prahlād Maharaj son of Demon King -Hiranyakasipu are live example of Gunatit. Pure Shaktas, Pure Shaivites, Pure Vaishnavs, Pure Para-Brahmavadis and Pure Parmatmavadis are gunatit.

Wrong interpreted....!! When we talk about scriptures, we must take care about the works that has been sanctioned by God to be called as sukarma. The reaction of each and every karma that we do , comes back to us.

That is called self realisation, for that also you will need the sanction of the supreme authority. Artificially it is impossible.

@@ankushcharak5737 I am sorry, but i can't agree on this point , Ramakrishna Paramhansa, Swami VivekaNanda, Astavakra and many more being get enlightened , and specially when it comes to gauatam budhha he refuses to tell you whether god exist or not. The reason behind it what i think is, it doesn't matter who you are, everyone have equal cabality to dissolve karma and god will not interfare there anyway. Matsyendra Nath, GorakNath, Maharaveer ,many people has done that.If it is being sanction by god and why they will spread the method to get rid off the karma.
