While I did see a couple of lanyards in this video, the flag officers were wearing aigulettes. The lanyard has practical uses. The colour(s) could signify the arm of servive. The aigulettes signify rank when worn over the left shoulder and position when worn over the right shoulder. The Aide de Camp to the President would wear the aigulette over his right shoulder.

Respected Sir or Mam please make a vdo on why majority of ExCDS,IMA cadet get Retirement at the rank of COLONEL only and why ExNDA,IMA cadet get promotion up to GENRALS. Like my grandfather was an ExCDS,IMA cadet and he got retirement at Colonel rank but my grandfather's cousin brother was an ExNDA,AFA cadet and he is currently serveing at the rank of AIR VICE MARSHAL.

I think wearing lanyard on left or right is to do with regiments created before independence and regiments created after independence...and some newly recruited jawans don't wear lanyard. They have to complete some sort of posting to get it...though iam not sure .

Dear SSB channel Your knowledge about most subjects is poor and incomplete. Firstly its not core.. its Corps. Secondly, you have done a full video on lanyard with half the images of an Aiguillette. Its clear you have no idea about what they are. Aiguillettes are worn by Officers of the rank of Lt Gen and above. They are also worn by ADCs while tenanting that appointment. Pls stop giving half baked information to public. Be responsible. Next time you decide to cover a subject pls do detailed research, if you are not capable of that you can msg me. Ill help you.
