Jay Keel The J-60 was actually my first keyboard many years ago. I’ll never forget the first time I played and the first preset in line was a string patch. That was the moment the synth addiction began haha.

Nice, very carefully put together. Great attention to detail and authenticity. People don't realise the amount of time it takes to put together a track like this...just recreating the individual sounds so that they sound like the original synths and drum machines.. plus actually playing it, mixing it, mastering it. And then actually recording and editing the video. Keep up the good work. Of course, if you want to make any money you'll have to write your own stuff.

Im a massive HoJo fan and the reason I got into synths back in 1983. This is an impressive cover, the Juno just has that pro warm sound unraveled today, unless you own a Jupiter 8. Whilst I’m a bit late to this post, I would love to hear you cover Equality. I play this all h time using a D50 for lead and an Access Virus TI2 for pad, maybe I should switch the two around 🤔

Yay ! This song is one of my favourites too ! It feels so great to have found you because there is someone in the other side that is enjoying and making music of my like so I don't feel alone anymore ! It seems that most of my friends prefer nowadays well-marketed music, and I don't have words to describe the magic and science in 70s-80s diversity of sounds and the work behind it to them... And you did it so well! Wish you the best of the best and keep going ! Take care. Sorry if I made mistakes, my english is basic.

Thank you for such a great comment, there really is something special about 80s music and the instruments used to create it. Your English is pretty good too! -Ron

@@RonnieAugeri Oh thank you for replying! There are some songs from 80s I'm really immersed on, like Equality and Joy(not an 80 song but oh god it sounds sooo great) from Howard Jones, and bounce right back are so funny for playing. Hide and seek and Even if I don't say are by far my favourites too with What Is Love ? and Things can only get better😜. I must say I do play by ear with one hand but I don't know in which note I am , so I played all of them by heart (?) Hahaaaa 😅 sorry... One day I would love to learn at least by tutorials here in youtube, anyway, I really had and still having so much fun with playing my old keyboard like my way 😄 Some of the songs I enjoy so much playing are : - STARCHILD, 43 , Almost there, Turn it On from level 42 , basically all level 42 he hee. .. - You're driving me out of my mind , it's a long way there : Little River Band - Highly Strung, With the Pride, Gold : Spandau Ballet - Evil Woman , Hold On Tight : ELO - Couldn't get it right : Climax Blues Band ( a 76 song) to mention another 70s song It's a shame. Oooh and Big fun from Kool & the gang, got obsessed with this one , with Equality , Human from The Human League and Starchild from level 42 😄 The One you love (Glenn Frey) and Tell me what you dream ( Timothy Schmit) are some sad stuff I love. All Johnny Hates Jazz songs are for any time. I am so excited there will be a new album from them by the next year 😄 I have many more songs on my mind , and I'm discovering even more... so yeah, that's actually a hobby, a pleasant one! 😉 I became into the conclusion that I prefer listening the whole album in order to get the idea of the artist. and not just picking a song and so on, except for an awesome playlist 😆 Take it as a humble recommendation ... And finally, Ron, keep going !! I appreciate your content and would like to listen more from you! Gretings from Peru ! xx , Maribel.

I'm glad I'm not the only one doing this stuff, and I'm also very pleased to see that you also programmed your own synth patches; it seems that most people don't know how to do that! I am happy to have subscribed to you!
@RonnieAugeri6 жыл бұрын
Adam Borseti unfortunately most of us millennials don’t appreciate good music XD it took me a few years to become decent at mixing and mastering but I’ve been trying to get the authentic 80s sound with software (although I have an old lexicon effects unit now). I’m very nerdy so most of the fun for me is programming the synths and effects units haha. Thanks again for stopping by and subscribing!

Man! You and I are on the same page! How much was the Lexicon? Is it one of the originals?
@RonnieAugeri6 жыл бұрын
Adam Borseti nothing fancy, it’s a lexicon lxp 15 from 89 or 90 I think. It’s got lots of classic 80s presets great for vocals and keys, has that classic sound, but is very affordable. Also has midi sync although I haven’t played with it yet.
